Gods Not Dead... Newsboys

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_OTz-lpDjw

Be patient Christians, eternity will right the wrongs of time.

The Amazing Spiderman can't really help the evil of this world, it's only a movie. Only and Amazing LIVING God can, because GOD'S NOT DEAD!! It is a true story, and if you will receive what Jesus has to offer you, you will receive REAL POWER!

This was one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, because the things that took place in this movie really happen to this day. I wasn't surprised when the movie theater was nearly empty, because 8 other movie theaters was showing The Amazing Spiderman. It was part 2 of a story about a man who gets bit by a spider and gets transformed with super powers to fight evil. I'm sure you know the story. The theater expected so many people, and they were right. They had to put rope and stanchions out for the long lines of anxious people wanting to get a good seat. Wow, all that went through my head was how much I wished people were that anxious to learn about God. Wouldn't it be a wonderful sight to see if there was rope and stanchion outside of our churches on Sunday because people were so anxious to come in and worship, and just love on God. The sad thing is, it is more and more empty, along with many people's lives. So many are full of hate and disbelief. If more people would seek the real stories found in the bible, you just might get bit by the Holy Spirit and be transformed because of the truth you will find. It's not just a story, IT'S REAL!! 2 Corinthians 3: 18 "And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being TRANSFORMED into His likeness"......

I am around many unbelievers. I even have family members who don't believe in God. I don't hate them or stop them from talking about their unbelief. I share my faith and stories with them, and continue to pray for them in hopes that one day they will know the truth. Or better said, not just know it, but desire to spend time with Him, and live for Him.

It truly is hard for me to understand people who don't believe. So many today seem to be threatened by the God they don't even believe in. Why would you want to stop people from praying or mentioning His name. Just the other day on the news I heard of a professor in South Carolina who told his students that they CAN NOT gives thanks to God in any of their speeches at graduation. Thank God that they put a stop to that. Then just a few weeks ago, a lunch teacher told a little girl she couldn't pray and give thanks for her food. There are so many more true happenings than these two stories... WHY!!!.... What harm is it to anyone if we pray? What harm are we to anyone just because we believe and call ourselves Christians? All I can make of all of this hate is, you are threatened by something you don't believe in any way! It truly makes me angry, but it is an anger I know God understands, because I understand what His word tells me. I pray that the scriptures below help you too if you find yourself angry and wondering how long? Remember, I'm sure there are many of you like myself, who are praying for family members who may not have that relationship with Jesus that you have been praying for.

Even though all this is bad, we don't have it half as bad as other countries. In some countries they will brutally kill you if they find out that you are a Christian. One of the most recent stories my brother in law shared with me was of an Iranian women. She was convicted under the Islamic sharia law, to be hung for her belief and being a Christian. They tried to convince her to change her mind, but she did not. She is supposed to be hung in front of a crowd of people for her belief.( And we think we have it bad.) I ask you, why.... why would anyone die for a God that wasn't REAL? People who believe with every bit of their heart and soul, who have experienced the LIVING GOD for themselves, WILL NOT DENY their belief in Him, even to death. Why, because He is real! It's not a fairy tale. It is the LIVING Word of God. For over 2000 years now, people have been hated, silenced, and brutally killed for being a Christian. Still to this day many are killed for bringing the good news of Christ to other countries. They do this because they know the truth,  the love and peace that comes to your soul when you believe, and they know that this place is only temporary. We are all commanded to share the Gospel of Christ, Matthew 28: 19-20  , and talk about receiving powers, real powers, read Acts 1: 8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you".... Where has God placed you, or where is He calling you to go?

All that is going on in the world today doesn't bring me to disbelief, it makes my belief stronger. Reminding me of the very words of Jesus Christ in John 15: 18, and Matthew 10: 22 "If the world hates you... it hated me first." That's enough for me to understand the hate.

My prayer of course is for world peace....  But be prepared, because Part 2 of this true story written in the Bible is coming soon!!! It's not a fairy tale, and one day we will live "happily ever after" when Jesus comes and receives His children to Himself.

Song of Love..... Rebecca St James

Psalm 138: 5 "They shall sing of the ways of the Lord"

All service, all devotion, should be in appreciation of the grace of Jesus Christ. What He has done in us, and now working through us. His grace and mercy is a great thing. It is mighty to save, to keep, to use, and to make a blessing to others. Personally this is what drives me, and I'll thank Him forever more in this way with my song of love.
Luke 15: 10, When you use God's word to be a blessing to others, you can't help but be blessed yourself on the way because it brings back all that you have already walked through and you know what that person can have as well if they're open to receive it.

Have you forgotten what God has done for you? Go back, "recount the steadfast love of the Lord." Never forget the kindness of the Lord, Isaiah 63:7. I love this verse, "I will tell of the kindness of the Lord, the deeds for which He is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us."

Every time I start to get anxious, or see that I am drifting into worry, I go back and remember EVERY MOUNTAIN we have climbed together. Every time He has been there in my time of need, every difficulty that He delivered me from. Miracles that I have seen in healing of cancer, marriages, or in the conceiving of a child when doctors said it would be nearly impossible.

John 1: 16 "From the fullness of His grace we have all received one blessing after another." If you can't remember anything, KNOW THIS, Jesus came to set you free! To break every chain that binds you. To show you the love and mercy of God.

I pray that Jesus will be the hope of your heart. That if you never put your trust in anything, put it in Him. Then the Light will begin to glitter through the darkness. You will have a "song of love" as you begin to rise to the surface of your deepest ocean and climb up from the valley to the mountain view. Then you can pour out your stories of blessings to someone else in need.

Still...Hillsong United... To Rhonda and Al, prayers are lifted in Jesus Name

Psalm 56: 3 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You”

I praise you my Father for Your Devine appointments. I do not believe in coincidences, I believe You are EVERYWHERE and in EVERYTHING!!! (God Incidences) We need to be the ones looking up and around us more to see where You are at work.

Sometimes we are put in situations where we have no choice but to be still and know He is God. It truly is the only place to find rest. Like the lyrics “Find rest my soul, in Christ alone. Know His power in quietness and trust.”
It’s also a really nice thing when someone notices you are distressed and takes the time to comfort you somehow.

When I drive to work, I always pray for God to open doors, to show me where He is at. What can I do for You today Lord? It’s not every day He shows me, but when he does it’s AWESOME!!!

One day in all of our lives, we will have to face oceans that rise, and the thunders that roar. Who will you soar with above the storm? Who might God send to comfort you? Or who might He show you needs comfort? If you’re always looking down at your cell phones, or just never lift your head to say hello to someone, you could miss great opportunities.

In a world with all this technology, and people who want the best of the best cell phones, it seems like everyone is looking down all the time. I thank God I am old fashion. I like looking UP!! I love to say hi, and talk to people. If we always are looking down at our phones, how will we notice anyone in need? Satan is really having his way of disconnecting people and relationships, or just comforting someone with an encouraging word. Think about it, are you one who is always looking at your cell phone? No matter where you are at, a party, out to dinner, your families get together. What is so important? You can’t get time back that one day you will wish you had. Look up and around you. There are people who need someone to talk to, or just hold their hand and comfort them. I got to notice it twice in one day, praise God.

I got a call on my radio at work to go wait at the front of the convention center for an ambulance coming to check on a guest who was not feeling well and waiting in one of our meeting rooms for them to come. On my way to the front, I passed a women sitting on the bench outside the room where they said this other women was who wasn’t feeling well. I thought that she was the one waiting because she looked like she was in a lot of pain. So I said to her, “I am going to check on the ambulance right now for you.” She said, “Oh it’s not for me, it is for the women I brought in that room there.” I said, “are you sure you’re O.K.?” She said, “I’ll be fine.” I told the men which room to go to for the other guest, and couldn’t wait to get back to the women on the bench. Not that I didn’t care about the women that the ambulance was there for, but God wanted me to check on this women again. I said again, “are you sure you’re O.K., can I get you anything?” She then told me why she was in pain. She was told a few weeks ago that she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I melted on the bench right next to her and just wanted to cry. I said to her, “ Oh sweet Jesus, I don’t know what to say. I am so sorry! How is your faith?” She said, “I have faith, I am just scared to death!” I said, “God knows, and with all good reason. I don’t care how much faith we have, God understands our fears. Can I pray for you?” She said, “Please do.” So I did, and didn’t care who was around. It was like we were in our own little realm. I told her the next day that I was just writing my blog on the song “Oceans.. Where feet may fail.” I told her I don’t believe in coincidences, I believe God ordained for us to meet on this very day and time. She agreed, and told me she will never forget me.  I printed the lyrics out for her and gave her my blog spot. I will never forget that Devine appointment.
Rhonda, I thank God every day for meeting you and being able to hold your hand and pray. He places you on my heart every day, several times a day, and I lift you up to Him. I hope you feel His embrace daily. Now you are in my thoughts and a part of my conversations with God every day.

Another one God had me take notice of was Al. He is our custodial coordinator, someone who I work with a few days a week. I noticed his look was very down. His hello wasn’t the same. I asked if he was O.K. and he just gave me a nod. The next day he came to me and said, “so you noticed?” I said, “yes, what’s wrong?” He said, “I had a procedure done to cut a cancer out of my throat a few weeks ago and I am getting ready in a few days to find out the results and if they got it all.” He continue to say, “you know, the wait can be exhausting.” I said, “oh yes, I sure do!” I got to share with him about my husband’s cancer and healing in his esophagus. It seemed to comfort him, and put a big smile on his face. I told him I would pray for him.

Look up people… One day you may be the one waiting for someone to notice you and be that voice of encouragement sent by God.

P.S. Please pray for Al, and Rhonda….

Oceans...Where feet may fail...Hillsong United

POWERFUL, POWERFUL prayer in this beautiful song! Close your eyes the second time and just Worship! This is one I could listen to every day, even several times a day!!!
Please be sure to scroll down the bottom of the video and read the comment by Sinisball. God does GREAT things when you call upon HIS Name, and your heart’s desire is to believe, then amazing, unexplainable things can happen! Romans 10:13, “Everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved.”

God wants to grow our faith and trust in Him, and it is usually in Oceans deep. So I will call upon His Name, and keep my eyes above the waves. My feet may fail when fear surrounds me, but He never failed me, and He won’t start now.

Oh God, I am Yours and You are mine. I couldn’t do one thing without Your Spirit leading me. My feet would surely fail…..

I would never want to take one step deeper without the presence of my Savior. Only by the power of His Spirit my faith is made stronger, and my trust can be without borders.
Matthew 14:22-32… Jesus tells us “Don’t be afraid.” When the waves are above my head, crashing all around me, there is no way my soul could rest unless I call upon His Name “JESUS”
The disciples didn’t recognize Jesus in the storm, even though they spent so much time with Him. Sound familiar? It sure sounds like me sometimes.

The most recent experience I had of being very afraid, was going for a procedure to have a lump removed from my breast. I have had biopsies before, but this one they had to do differently because it was deep. That isn’t what scared me.  I was truly trusting Jesus in everything, and of course knowing I was going to be put under anesthesia for the removal of the lump. What had to be done differently was a surprise to me.  They had to run a wire deep into my breast with no numbing, or anesthesia. Well this really scared me because they told me it was really painful. When my mom came in the room before they took me down she could see I was very scared. I told her what they said. She said she didn’t want to tell me. She said, “just pray, say His Name, JESUS, He will be with you.” Well I was saying Jesus all the way to this room over, and over, and over again!! The fear just wasn’t going away… until I believed, He really was with me, then I felt His TOTAL presence. Well I turned my head to look at the TV monitor, and watched them put this wire deep in my breast to the lump so the doctor could go easily to it and remove it. I couldn’t believe I didn’t feel the pain that they said I would feel! I tell you the truth, He NEVER failed me and He won’t start now. He has done greater things than this for me. He never ceases to amaze me, even in my doubts.

Some of you may think this strange to say, but even in death He won’t fail me. That is where my eternity begins. He promised that where He is, I will also be one day. John 14: 3 ---- 1 Corinthians 15: 42-44.

When I am afraid, the presence of Jesus always calms me. In times of fear and uncertainty, it is always calming to know Jesus is always with me and hears me when I call upon His Name. “In the great unknown, where my feet may fail. I will call upon Your Name, and keep my eyes above the waves. When oceans rise, my soul will rest in Your embrace.”
Listen to the song, it will sooth your soul…….
