My Desire..... Anthony Evans

Wow, what beautiful words to say to the "ONE" we are in love with!!

When I think of the bible being our love letter from God, these lyrics are beautiful love worship to Him. We are His hearts desire. He should be ours before and above anything. To desire to know Him more and more throughout our time on earth.

Some people say, "well God has never shown Himself to me." I usually say, "well did you wake up this morning with breath? Then He just showed Himself." Usually I ask them if they are seeking Him at all in His word. Or maybe you just call on Him when you need something. Well that's not loving Him, or seeking Him with your whole heart.

Look what He tells us in His word: Proverbs 8:17, "I love those who love me, and those who seek Me find Me."  Jeremiah 29:13, "You will seek Me and find Me when you seek me with all your heart." Matthew 7:7, "Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be open to you."

Like any love relationship, you usually make a great effort to let that person know how much they mean to you. So if you love Jesus like you say you do, then passionately chase after Him.

1 John 2: 2, God already did everything He could for us. To live life here, and then for all eternity. John 3:16, He gave us His One and only Son. It's our own choice to receive and believe this truth. Then, and only then, we become a child of God, John 1: 12-13. Then we have continued life here to tell others about Him. Not just to skate by till our time is up. We are called to do a work here for the Kingdom. Ephesians 2:10, "For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago."

I really didn't understand this when I first became a follower of Jesus. But the more I seek Him, the more I want of Him.

As it is (In Heaven)... Hillsong

What comfort I find in the opening lyrics of this song.... "Whether now or then, death is not my end. I know heaven waits for me." So as I live on this side of heaven, I say, "yes Lord, as it is in heaven, so let it be in me." That's when you really experience true life, and fear subsides because you know God has full control of your life.
Philippians 3:20-21, "But our citizenship is in heaven." Our lowly bodies will one day be transformed to be like Jesus when we go home for all eternity. This is not our home. We live up there, we merely live down here for a brief time to complete the work God has prepared, and entrusted to us in advance to do, Ephesians 2:10. But if we don't make it a determined decision to grow spiritually, we will never know all the secret things God has for us who put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. Here are some great scriptures on this truth..... 1 Corinthians 2: 9-10, Ephesians 1: 9-10, Colossians 1: 26, John 15: 15, Jeremiah 33:3. I hope you look them up.

So while we are waiting for this blip of time to be done here, to go spend eternity with our Lord, what are we doing for the kingdom? Are we telling people about Jesus and the hope that we have found? Is He our number 1? All of us will face judgement one day.  So my prayers are that of Paul's prayers, and they are life changing if we choose to let it.... Ephesians 1:17-19, Ephesians 3: 16-19, Philippians 1:9-11, Colossians 1:9-12. Please look them up.

Jesus loves all of us. He died for all of creation. But all of us are not His children. You have to choose Him for yourself, John 1:12. Matthew 7:7-8. Are you seeking? Are you knocking? Will you invite Him in? I made that choice one day and I have never been the same. I thought I was living, but now I'm really living!!! Oh, and His grace will never fail you.
So while I'm waiting to go eternally home, I'm not really waiting. I know heaven lives in me. Thank you Jesus.

For His glory always

Take Courage... Kristene DiMarco

We all go through seasons in life. Some good, some bad. Change of seasons never end as long as we are alive. If we don't stop and slow down, spend time in Gods word, we wont hear the things He is trying to speak to us. Sometimes things are allowed to come into our lives that will help us to slow down. Then if you choose, you can get to know the One Who holds everything together, Colossians 1:17. The One Who calls each star by name, Psalm 147:4. So take courage, get close to Him. You will realize He is in the waiting with you.

We may be in what we think is an impossible situation. Or maybe something so heartbreaking you can barely catch your breath.  Well 2020 has started off that way for many who are very dear to me. Some are battling cancer. Some waiting for test results. Some with children who were born with challenges. Loss of a job. Loss of loved one. The list goes on....

I don't know how anyone can do life without God. I can barely do it with Him at times to be honest. But you know what? Even Jesus wept, John 11:35. He will reveal what's to come in His timing. It's the waiting that just seems impossible at times. I've screamed out many times in my life, "where are You God?" But because I am always seeking Him, He answers me quickly by His Living Word. Matthew 28:20, "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age." Jesus is right there in the waiting of whatever you are going through. You may not think He is, but continue to draw near to Him and you will realize that He is. Your courage to keep pressing on will increase. Your hope will arise.

I will end with one of my favorite verses, and I hope it encourages you: Hebrews 4: 14-16
"So then, we must cling to the faith to all we know to be true. For we have a magnificent King Priest, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who rose into the heavenly realm for us, and now sympathizes with us in our frailty. He understands humanity, for as a Man, our magnificent King Priest was tempted in every way just as we are, and conquered sin. So now we come...….to receive mercy's kiss and discover the grace we urgently need to strengthen us in our time of weakness."

So be encouraged
To God be the glory
