Sean Curran... Bigger than i thought

 https://youtu.be/qWafQOxt9tE

I was in the gym working out and this song came on and it just started speaking to my heart. What a year.  I know so many people who have been through, and still fighting through different health battles.  I know people who have had this virus and made it within a few days. I know people who had it, and had it for longer than they were hoping. Some have been put in the hospital, and some went home to be with the Lord.
But how does that speak to you? For me its how I felt from the very beginning.  Our time is in God's hands. Virus or no virus. Goodness, I even hate even a simple cold. I pray  God's protection over myself and family daily! That's what He tells us to do, and never cease praying. But does that mean that we won't get the virus, or anything else for that matter? No! Members of my own family got it. One even put in the hospital. Praise God they are fine now.
But how I felt, and what kept me in complete peace, was knowing my life and time of death is in God's hands. Its already written.  I took precautions, but never stopped living! Little get aways, family holiday time together, going out to dinner.... If someone wanted me to mask up, I did.
Life is too precious, and short. I lost a dear friend who was hit from behind on his motorcycle. He loved life, and lived it. Thank God he did,  because he didn't know it would be his last. My sister was in a total car wreck after surviving the virus. She could have been killed.
So I guess what I'm trying to say, is live life!!! Lay everything before God. All your fears. He understands. But He doesn't want you to stop living. He gave us life to live it abundantly, John 10: 10.
The time I spend with God, He is becoming bigger than I ever thought He was.
For His glory always

Open the eyes of my heart... Michael W Smith

 https://youtu.be/Vnqb7Vn4AEE

As I was taking the tree down, and all the lights off the tree, a thought came in my head.  I couldn't wait for all the beautiful lights of Christmas to be turned on in my house, and all around the neighbourhood. It truly does light up the darkness, and puts a joy inside when you see all the pretty decorations.
Most of us know that Christmas is more than lights and decorations. It's the light that came into this dark world, Jesus Christ.  The very 1st few verses in Genesis chapter 1, tells us that the Earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the whole surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, let there be light......This Light that separated the light from the darkness was the spirit of God.  The light of the Sun and the moon and the stars came after the first Light, verse 14.
My prayer is that as we all take our decorations down, we continue to keep Jesus Christ high and lifted up. Shining in the light of His glory. If we are hoping for 2021to be different, we need to keep Him first. We need to change. The ones who follow Him and believe. Don't treat the Holy God like a Genie. Only wanting him when we want change, and when things are looking really bad.  The ones who follow the dark side do what they do and it shouldn't surprise us. But the ones who walk in the light, as he is in the light, need to put Him in His rightful place. High and lifted up.
For His glory

When we pray... Tauren wells

This Christmas, and going into the New Year, has been like no other for me personally. I take to heart the prayers that people are asking for. I know that there are many families grieving at this time. Either by losing a loved one, sitting by the side of someone who is suffering, or something personal of their own struggle.
As I was reading Mark 15: 32-40, my heart was overwhelmed with sorrow, with the agony that Jesus went through.  He asked them to stay awake and pray because Jesus Himself, in His humanity was overwhelmed with distress.  To the point of death! Can you imagine that??
Many times in my life I have been in a place where I was lost for words to pray. So we reach out to our brothers and sisters to pray. As most of you know, I use Facebook for the glory of God. Yes, and some funny things that I like to put out there. But if I put on my page that I am asking for prayer, I sure hope that when people say they are, they really do. They are not just words being thrown up in the air. Those prayers are entering the throne Room of our God. It's powerful. It comforts the one you are praying for.  I know this to be true! All Jesus wanted them to do was stay awake and pray.
So if you see your friends on Facebook asking for prayer, please take the time to bow your head and enter the throne Room of God with a request. That person who is asking will certainly feel that power of prayer.

Better Word .. Elevation Worship

Sitting home with only Christmas lights on and thinking how people might think of Christmas. I know that alot of people think about the baby in a manger. But do you really know the reason for the season?  Its so much more than lights and presents, and even family time.
What is really enough to you when all the lights, all the festivities, all the family goes home? The birth of Jesus was only the beginning.  Its the blood, and all the in-between that makes the difference in our lives here, and for all eternity!
What are you going to do this year to make 2021 a better year? I believe that's what our Lord is waiting to see.
Everyone thinks 2021 is going to be better.  But have you yet accepted this precious baby in the manger? Do you have any idea about the sacrifice, and the blood? I pray this Christmas you really see the difference of this wonderful celebration.
More than a manger. Its the blood, and nothing but the blood.

Jesus we love you... Shane and Shane

 https://youtu.be/lutoNdh-ghU

What is our anthem song? What is our legacy? It matters to God. We take nothing with us when we go. But we are held accountable for what we did with Jesus.
2 Corinthians 5:17-20. We are to be Christ ambassadors.
2020 has been hell on Earth for so many people. In all reality, we are all seeing more and more of what the Bible tells us about this world, 2 Corinthians 4:4, Ephesians 2:2. But our God never ever loses control. He never changes. He remains faithful, and all knowing. We, who are followers , are a part of His plan, and spiritual battle, Ephesians 6: 10-18. We are here for His purpose and glory. To bring others to Him, and one day forever home!
But if you are a believer in Christ, has the seed of the spirit remained just a seed?  Or has it driven you to know more of God. Then that seed will start to expand in your soul. We begin to change and see things differently. 1 Peter 1:23..... 2 Peter 1: 3-8. Living productive lives.
All of us have been through several different things this year. Even counting our blessings, which are many. But I know and believe that God is making himself known more and more to many this year, but some still don't see it.  Are we, as followers of Christ, doing what we are to be doing to bring others to Him? That's why we are here. That's why we still have breath. But many of us take Jesus and just keep Him to ourselves.
You wanna get that seed growing? Then just don't admire Jesus, ADORE HIM! Make it a point to set time aside to spend with Him.
Then begin to become aware of what our lives are for. To glorify God in all things. Even the trials. Let His light shine even in our darkest night. We will go through constant changes this side of heaven.  BUT GOD,  remains faithful!
So let us pour out our affection and devotion to others.
For His glory

Welcome Home.. Shawn Groves

https://youtu.be/2m859udQUmY

I called my daughter this morning to ask her what her plans were for the day. For the past 2 weeks they have been cleaning up closets, and making whatever room they can for a new life that is coming in this world. My grandson Holden.  What a gift from God a child is. How welcomed and adored Holden is going to feel.
Jesus, Who came as a baby, given to all who would accept Him, and believe why He came, deserves to feel welcomed, honoured, and adored.
We sure can store a lot of things in our closets. Things we even forgot that were there. Just junk that piles up. The same thing is true with the closets of our life. The one thing about the closets of our life, we can't hide any junk from God. He sees all, and knows all. All he wants is for us to welcome him in our hearts. He doesn't care how cluttered the closets of our life are. He doesn't care about all the junk. Matthew 11:27-30, His word tells us to come just as we are. John 3:3-21, Mark 2:22, That's the beauty of the Holy Spirit, and the power that it has within us to guide us to all the areas that hes working on in creating a new life within us.
Our hearts are not our own. Ephesians 2:10, God-created us for His purpose, and His glory. Things that were prepared for us to do before we even came to be. What a great experience this life can be if we look at it for eternal purposes.
My prayer is if you have not given your heart to Jesus Christ. If you only know him by name and not by a relationship, I pray that you open your heart to him and let him make himself at home.

Still... Hillsong United

 https://youtu.be/abDzMnIybqs

Love this in Mark 6: 45-51
In this story we can see that Jesus wasn't in the boat with them in the storm sleeping.  In this story Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him. He went up on a mountainside to pray. Who knows what he was praying about. Maybe he was praying about the very thing he was about to do, knowing that a storm was going to arise that his disciples were going to head into it. Maybe he was praying that they would remember what he did in the last storm. Everything we go through should increase our faith in remembrance of what Christ has done in each storm. When evening came , the boat was in the middle of the Lake, while Jesus was on land. He saw the disciples straining at the oars because the wind and the waves were against them.  Jesus set out to walk on the very storm that they were straining through. He climbed into the boat with them and the wind died down.... I just love this because no matter where we are, Jesus is aware of every single thing we are going to go through in this life. He walks on the very storms that we are afraid of. He climbs in with us.  Sometimes the storms don't calm down, but he will certainly bring us the peace He promises that is unexplainable.  I pray as we journey through this life, we will see Jesus in everything and he will increase our faith in him.

Restore my soul... Vertical church Band

 https://youtu.be/RT0f0YrPbHk

At the cross, Jesus bore every sin, of every person. He did this to secure for us a place in heaven, but also to walk with us through everything we will go through here. Everything , good, bad, and even the ugly.
There is not any of us who doesn't need to be restored, and our hearts revived. We need to daily be fed with the word of God to grow. When we grow, we change and see things in the light of God. We no longer make excuses for living the way we do. The spirit is like a plant that needs constant nurturing to keep alive.
Focusing on the cross, and its purpose, is what will relight the fire inside of us. The more time we spend with God, or at least it is for me, the more I want. He truly is the love of my life, and my enough. Hes where I find my way through things in this life. He helps to understand the things that I can't. 1 Corinthians:9-16, love this Word of God.  It tells me that I have the mind of Christ. I have received the spirit that is from God, and it was freely given to us all. But not without the suffering was put upon Jesus. So I pray you find yourself in true surrender to the most beautiful experience thus side of heaven.

Protecter.. Kim Walker

 https://youtu.be/r_v3i2k6Psc

Reading the 2nd chapter of Job and how it begins the same way as chapter one, where satan has to ask permission from God. It made me think of Jesus telling Peter, that satan had asked to sift him as wheat, but Jesus was praying for him. Luke 22:31.  Then he was to turn back and strengthen his brothers...  God is never NEVER unaware of the suffering that we go through. No one wants to go through it, even Jesus asked for the cup of suffering to be removed. But because he did the will of his Father, just like some other people I know right now in their suffering, accepting the will of what God is allowing  them to go through, they are receiving a power and peace that only they can explain.  When you know people like this, they are such an inspiration. You can see God all over them. There is no other way to explain it. Our lives are to bring God glory. God will always give His power with purpose. Isaiah 46:10, "  My purpose will be established, and I accomplish all my good pleasure."  God uses his power to accomplish his will. Then be like Paul and pray, Ephesians 3:19-20 , ..."be filled up to all the fullness of God." He's able!!
