The narrow way. Stephanie Gretzenger

The lyrics of this song are powerful.  " Lead me, teach me, keep me from wandering." Psalm 119:10.  That's what I ask of Him.
“I will reward them” God promises a long life to the person who trusts Him and loves Him. It could be here on earth, it could be in eternity. This verse is a promise that secures our future but it also starts now. “and give them my salvation”
Psalm 91:14-16
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
I can't walk this narrow road that Jesus asks of me without Him leading me and guiding me. I need to be taught.  He gave us all a Helper. The Holy Spirit,  always making intercession for us.Romans 8:26. We have Jesus, Who is seated at the right hand of His Father supporting us. Can it get any better than that? You can try fighting battles on your own.  Trying to understand things on your own. Not me, I choose the power of this team.  The Holy Trinity.  It's the only thing that keeps me on the right path, and in a peacefull, positive mindset,  1 Corinthians 2:16
We have the Bible. The Living Word that speaks to us daily. It's our choice to pick it up and be filled up by it. Or we can choose like so many others to be led by our own understanding of things. My question is, how is it going for you so far if you are not seeking Him through his word?  There are so many ups and downs in life. Watching the horror on the news, politics, all can leave you pretty frustrated. Health issues, family issues, parenting problems, we have a Helper. He wants to be called on.
Every day I speak to Him throughout my day. I need Him. He wants me to call on Him in all my questions, dicision making, everything! He wants to be involved. He will keep you on that narrow road.  Sadly, it's the road less traveled.
 For your glory Lord always..

The struggle. Zach Williams

Wow!!! These lyrics are so powerful!
There is such an advantage of believing God's Word, in that we don't have to learn by hard experience the destructive results of addictions. If we don't call out in repentance and for the Lord's help, these addictions can kill you. It can cut your life short. The enemy is a liar and he wants to cut your life short, John 10:10.
Are you tired and torn? Are you at the point where you can't take it anymore? Do you go to substances to make you feel better? All God wants is for us to seek Him. Return to Him. You will find all that you need to fill that empty spot. Jeremiah 3: 21-22 ..." Return, faithless people, I will cure you of backsliding." Our world glorifies the thrill of partying, wealth, competition, sexual pleasure, and ignores the sin that is so often associated with these thrills. Such a deception. Most people can't see this until they are destroyed by it.
Jeremiah 4: 1-3 "If you will return, O Israel, return to me.... Break up your unplowed ground and do not sow among thorns. Circumcise yourselves to the Lord circumcise your hearts,"... Whatever addiction we hold onto. Whatever idle it is. That deception will keep our hearts hardened. It's a choice to stay here. Or seek Jesus through the written Word to break those chains. His Word is alive. IT'S LIFE! Then the hardened heart becomes receptive to the truth, breaking up the unplowed ground. Change begins here.
So if you're weary, if you're worn. If you can't take it anymore. Then pick up the Bible. It can save you from destroying your life here. But most importantly, you will spend all eternity when this life is over with our Lord and Savior and all our loved ones who have put their Faith in Jesus Christ forever and ever.
I know the truth of what addictions can do. I lost the love of my life, my husband way too early. But the peace I have is knowing that I will see him one day. He put his Faith in Jesus Christ.
I pray this sets someone free before its too late. I know people say when my times up it's up. But we can also help that time to come sooner by making horrible choices. Don't kid yourself. These kind of addictions will wear your health out at an early age. Alcohol, pills, whatever substance you turn to for comfort there is one who is always waiting with open arms. Turn to Jesus Christ.
