Encountering joy has nothing to do with a fake smile or pretending your ok.  Joy comes from trusting God at his Word.  Joy has nothing to do with our circumstances or what we're going through, but everything that has to do with Jesus.  You can never truly enjoy Christmas until you look up to God and say,  . I have received your Christmas gift. Jesus is Joy.  Slow down and look up.  Like Paul wrote in prison... Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice....  Tap into something deeper and that is unshakable. Hold onto Jesus and find joy.

Luke 2: 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.

Thank you Father for this gift that brought us everlasting life and joy.

Do you ever wonder what people see in you when you spend time with them? I do. I pray that they see joy. I pray that I have a spirit of encouragement. I pray that I leave them with a smile. I pray that they feel more positive in anything that they may be going through. That's the spirit of my Jesus and I pray to shine that.  Christmas can be a tough time for many. The loss of loved ones.  Loved ones who are dealing with sickness. Some just miles away from the ones that they would like to be with but can't.  Everyone has a spirit about them.  Try to be sensitive of it.  May God's spirit in us release the oil of joy. May they see Jesus.
