How many people go to church every Sunday but they remain the same. They may even be able to quote scripture but even Satan knows scripture.  Just going to church doesn't make anyone more godly. It's being the Word, hungry for the Word,  and letting the Word change you and stop making excuses for your lifestyle. Jesus is the Word. We really have no excuse to be more godly. The Word tells us we have everything we need. 2 Peter 1: 3 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness." ... 

But if you really don't know the Word and you're only going through religious motions, this scripture fits well.2 Timothy 3: 5 "having a form of godliness but denying its power"..... 

When we accepted Jesus Christ to be our Savior the Holy Spirit entered us. So if the Holy Spirit, the Word,  isn't changing us to look more like Jesus, my opinion is we have to think, are we really saved. God wants to grow Himself inside us. So we have to feed ourself the Word. Not just depend on pastors or other people or bible studies. He wants an intimate relationship with us. We should be on the same page with God. What breaks his heart should break ours.

Are you restless? Have you ever wondered what is missing in your life because you're never satisfied? Our hearts will be restless until we rest in Him. No wonder why He made that the number one commandment, Mark 12:29-30. Loving the Lord God with all our heart, mind and soul and strength. Do you want that rest? Then ask Him for it and walk in it.  Return to Him with all your heart. He knows what we put first in our life. 

 Just think how good you feel when your kids call you just to see how your doing. Just to talk to you and not want anything. I can only imagine how God feels when we just want to spend time with Him and not ask Him for anything. Just to wake up and thank Him for another day. Just to sit in His presence. There's nothing like it. I can't explain it. I only know that is true. I never feel alone.

 Jeremiah 6 :16 ...ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’

What is your idea of this precious gift of salvation? Do you still walk in your old ways? What things in your life have actually been changed? We should desire the things that God desires. We should look at things so differently then we used to. Things that we thought were okay then,  are not okay anymore. The things that used to rule us don't overpower us anymore. Things we used to watch. Substances we used to take to feel better. They have lost their power. A key question to ask yourself is, has God changed me? Is this gift of the Holy Spirit cleaning up this house? We are the temple of the living God. He desires to live His life in us and through us. When you are born again, the spirit of God changes us. The more you seek Him. The more He changes you. Are you seeking Him to help make a difference In this world, or just for your own selfish needs?

Our Gods Kingdom will come, and His will will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Are you ready for that day that seems so close? 

What good is it doing anyone to bash Trump or bash Harris. I am guilty of it too. It may be making us feel better and thinking that we might change someone's decision, but the outcome will be God's. We are to vote, leave it in His hands and not worry. He's in control. Don't let things surprise you if they don't turn out the way you thought they should. Whoever thought that God would allow His own Son to be brutally, beaten and crucified for us. But through His son's death and resurrection came grace and mercy and forgiveness for all who would receive it. Who knows what God is going to do with this election. He already knows. We just wait in prayer for everything to unfold. And all we should be praying is for His will to be done, and His kingdom to come.

God tells us in his word over and over again that His ways are not ours. To lean, not on our own understanding of things, Isaiah 55:8, proverbs 3:5-6. 

I love in God's Word that He tells us over and over, not to worry. He tells us to pray about everything. This election is going to turn out as He has planned and allowed. He is in total control and never is unaware of what is happening. He uses EVERYTHING for His good and glory and the expansion of His Kingdom. Remember, the devil is God's devil.Just a puppet on His rope. If you know the end of the story, Victory is ours who believe. You know that old saying.. You get so much rope until you hang yourself with it. Well, that's exactly the way it's gonna go. The devil knows it, and that's why he's working real hard to take many with him. I pray that you're ready when that last chapter happens. Because none of us know the day or the hour.

Working out our salvation as this scripture says, what does that mean to you? Is it just saying with your mouth that you believe in Jesus Christ? Then you make the next step of being baptized, going to church, reading your Bible. It's so much more than that. There's no fear of the Lord anymore, like this scripture says. People pick and choose like God is some kind of buffet God. Our hearts should break for what breaks His heart. We should desire to look more and more like Him, because with each day as the bible says, we die daily to self.

Philippians 2:12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling,13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose."....   Jesus tells us in scripture to remain in Him so that we can bear much fruit. Apart from him we can do nothing, John 15:4. The fruit of the spirit are, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, and self control, Galations 5:22-23.... 

We all need to do a self check. I want to know that I am truly His because the day seems like it is approaching fast.

Ezekial 43:1-12

When the glory of the Lord returns to the church, only then will the nation be blessed.

For God to return to the culture, His conditions have to be met. The house of Israel was defiling God's Holy Name by their prostitution, and the lifeless idols. Verse 8 really gets me. They placed there threshold next to His threshold. Government then, and government now, still intrudes on the rule of God. Romans 13:1-4. The role of the government is to act on God's behalf. But we have allowed politics to dictate to the kingdom of God by keeping our mouths shut too long. Isaiah 5: 20-21 " Woe to those who call evil good in good evil.... Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight."... God has a view on everything and we should see as He sees. Remove God and we will continue to be a nation that goes under. Continuing to decline. Romans 1: 18-32, If we no longer look to God for his perspective on things He will continue to allow decay. Psalm 33:12, A nation is blessed who recognizes His policies. Psalm 22:28, Leave God out and the nations are in trouble. Government should reflect God for the well being of society. If we want to be a blessed nation, we need to have God's perspective on all things, not just what we choose.

He is Holy.

Genesis 11:3-4... explained: Let's come up with our own plan on how the world should work. Back then it was tar and mortar. Using what they had. Their tower was a religious symbol. It would go all the way up to heaven. It wouldn't be that heaven would come down to them. They would go there. How crazy! They had enough religion to have a form of godliness. But not enough to operate its reality. Verse 4 ..we may make a name for ourselves... Why do they want to be known by their own name? Because they don't want to be known by God's name. They want to be known by their own authority and not answer to a Higher Being. Just like people say today... "I know my truth".. Well, if it's not God's truth, it's no truth at all. They didn't want God, they wanted their independence and that is what is happening today. The Word of God should mean more to us than Democrat or Republican. We are a nation under God. So what does the God over the nation want us to do in all things that we are voting for? Verse 5-7.. the Lord came down.. Are we living by what everyone else thinks? What's good for me? Or by what the Word of God says? We bear the consequences of the choices that we make. The cry for independence is not good for a society against God. There is so much confusion today. No one really has an answer for anything. Just a bunch of promises. Read verse 7, and who do you think is confusing everything? The confusion exists because the independence exists. Powerful message. Romans 8:29 For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters.

Some say that one way to reflect Christ is through love and compassion. This could mean extending kindness, understanding, and empathy to others, similar to how Jesus showed unconditional love and compassion to those he encountered. Others say that it means representing Christ alive in us, and letting him radiate out of us in our words, attitudes, and actions.

 In all things, be a reflection of Christ. Especially those that it is hard to be that reflection. But to me, today before I went into Surgery for my hip, I had a wonderful conversation with the nurse about Jesus Christ. She is also a believer. If you know me, I am a blabbermouth for my Savior and I won't stop. When she went to get this cap to put on my head she was shocked at what she saw on the front. Now she could have put it on anyway. But it just so happened to turn out that it landed in the front. If it landed in the back, we both wouldn't have known it was there. She said, "i've been here thirty six years and I have never seen this. What the heck." Well, I shared with her immediately  what it spoke to my heart. I told her "everywhere I go I love to talk about Jesus. I will always bring Him up because it makes great conversation, sometimes. If not, I just back off and pray for that person.I told her what it spoke to my heart, "He's telling me to keep reflecting Him."  Well, she grabbed my arm and almost in tears said. "yes my sister." Then she wheeled me into another room to prepare for rehab. Twenty minutes later she came back to that area and said.  "I will never forget what just happened." Jesus is amazing and He wants to be talked about. Everywhere we go there is an opportunity.

I bet there isn't one person who isn't praying for change in this nation. Well, maybe not everyone is praying, but you certainly are hoping for change. Our hope should be only in the Lord Jesus Christ. Not in any man. God is after His glory. There is a condition in God's Word for Him to intervene. That condition is put on the church. The people of "The Way". That is followers of Christ. Who He Himself says that He is the way, the truth, and the life, John 14:6. 

2 Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place." .. 

Seek His face. But many want to take God out of everything. Oh, and don't mention the name Jesus Christ because someone might be offended. Too bad. I'm offended by all the garbage that is being allowed. I've got grandchildren and nieces and nephews and I care about their future. 

We the church, should be on bended knees, with our hands lifted high telling God how much we need Him to Intervene in this mess that we are a part of because we are half stepping. He wants both feet in. Not showing partiality in the matters of the law, Malachi 2:9, and not a lukewarm Christian, Revelation 3:15-16. Malachi 3:7 He tells us,  "Ever since the time of your forefathers, you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me and I will return to you, says the LORD Almighty.".. I'm so glad God doesn't leave us guessing with what He wants from His people who follow Him. But if you're not in the Word you will just continue with what you think is right. We are supposed to think like Christ, and He says in His word that we have the mind of Christ,1 Corinthians 2:16.

Worldly people do what they do. Those things shouldn't surprise us. But when people can't tell the difference between Christ's followers and the world, there's a problem. We have been set apart to be the salt and the light of this world. Love on people, but love them with the truth. It's the truth that sets a person free, John 8:32.

I remember the day the Spirit of truth broke through from my head, to my heart and soul, and I will never be the same. Going to church doesn't save you. Going to bible study classes doesn't save you. These inform you of the truth that will set you free. But it is up to you to receive and believe and become a child of God, John 1:12-13. Crazy thing is, you really find out who your true friends are when you try to share what has happened to you and they think you're crazy.  I still will never stop sharing about my best Friend, Jesus Christ. My audience is One. It's His opinion that matters to me. 

Galations 1:10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

We all may not like the things that we were chosen for to glorify God. But that truly is the reason why we are here. He hand picked us for something greater thank we are, or can do. He does it through us if we would only allow him.....

Have you ever run from God? I have, and when He has a purpose, and a plan you won't get away with running away. I remember when things got really out of hand with my marriage. I would always run to my mom's. Well, I guess God had about enough of me doing that. With a car packed with clothes, and tears streaming from my face. The cop that pulled me over to give me a ticket, didn't care. Got to my mom's house, spent only 3 days there, and she comes into the room and says, "I think you need to go home." I told her I had the same feeling. So I packed up all my belongings back in the car and back home I went to where God will continue to use me in my marriage to let my husband see the Unconditional, Unbelievable love He had for him. No regrets at all on my part. I even got to know this amazing love even more.

There's going to a be a day where the whole world will be in alignment with Jesus Christ. Everyone will be looking up, just like they did at this eclipse. Unbelievable how much attention this eclipse got and God gets so little.  I mean, people went out of their way  to cut out cereal boxes, Shoe boxes, buy glasses just to look up. But how many go out of their way to pick up the bible? How many look forward to reading the Word of the Creator that made this beautiful event that happend in the heavenlies? I don't know how many years it is before it happens again. But either we will be looking up for another eclipse. Or we will be looking up because The King of kings, and the Lord of lords, Jesus, is coming from the skies and everyone will see and every knee will bow. You won't have to cut out a cereal box, or shoe box, or buy any glasses. You will see it all over the world at the same time. And the same sounds that we heard of the people that were aw when everything turned black with the totally eclipse. We will hear that same sound. Only an added sound of those who aren't going with Christ.

Oh, how I pray you seek the King of all kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. If i'm wrong, what do I have to lose? But if you're wrong, you have everything to lose.

You can use your human logic to figure out things if you choose to. But I choose to fill up with what I know will lead me in the way I should walk DAILY. It's a daily fill up. Like a helium balloon. When it's full and you let it go, it soars so high that you can't even see it with your eyes anymore. It disappears into the heavenlies. But if it has a little pinhole, it will sink right back to the ground. That's how it is with our spiritual walk and vision. The bible tells me that I am seated with Christ, Ephesians 2:6-7. I want to stay so close to Him that even though I can't see Him, I can feel Him. God has given us everything we need. It's up to us to fill up. 2 Peter 1: 3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

I remember the other day wanting to go pick up a meal for dinner. As I was walking in to make my order. I smelled such an awesome aroma from across the street. That smell attracted me to change my mind and see what they had. Isn't that how we should be as followers of Christ. Not look or act like the world, which is becoming so unattractive and selfish. But be that one that others might be attracted to because they wonder what is so different.

Holy Spirit, help us to imitate our Father today and everyday as we spend time with You daily. Magnify the Words of life that change us so we can leave a legacy for You. Ephesians5:1-2... "a sweet smelling aroma."

The bible, the written Living Word of God is so beautiful. But it's just words on a page if you are not born again. John 3:3, Jesus said we must be born again. Why was that so important to Him? John 14: 26-27, " The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you ALL THINGS and will remind you of everything I have said to you. Peace, I leave you.".... It's clear in this scripture, that the only ONE who makes things clear as we walk this world in the peace that passes all understanding is the Holy Spirit. There will be trouble in this world and it will only keep getting worse. How will we be able to understand anything if a Holy Spirit isn't teaching us everything? We won't, unless He lives within us, lighting everything up.  "No one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.".. The kingdom is within us, and it's peaceful.  It's very clear.

Have you ever been really hungry? So hungry, that it becomes such a discomfort. It can even change our mode. We will go after anything. The quickest thing to get in our stomach to satisfy. It's usually always junk and you wind up hungry thirty minutes later. Not to mention, it's empty calories and no nutrition to the body. It's the same thing with our spiritual life. Jesus satisfies our inner longings. True life and satisfaction cannot be found anywhere else. You can look and sample, but it will not satisfy. There is an empty part in our soul that only the Holy Spirit can fill. It's a DAILY filling. Not just calling on Jesus when you need Him. He just doesn't work that way. We can continue to live off the world's junk. Or taste and see that the Lord satisfies. 

John 6:35 Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.

This time of year in florida, the night sky is absolutely stunning. Stars are so clearly scene. It's so hard to believe that stars are bigger than planet earth. They look so tiny. Do we see God reaching out to us in every wind that blows, every sunrise and sunset, every cloud in the sky, every flower that blooms, and every leaf that fades. If we will only begin to use our blinded thinking to visualize it. Focus all our attention on God, His ways, His thoughts, His desires because we know His design for us is better than our heart can even imagine. What He has prepared for us is greater than what our eyes see and your ears heard and our minds can even conceive. 1 Corinthians 2: 6-10

Through all of my failure and pride, God still chased after my heart, and He continues and will never give up chasing after yours. He is not willing to lose not one. John 6:37-39.

Genesis 3:1-7

God created good. It was us who changed what God created. To this day we still ignore Gods instructions on so many things. And then we wonder why things are going as they are. It's us, not Him. It's our free will. He gave us instructions and it's our choice to follow them or be fooled by our way of thinking.   Is satan still says to us today... Did God really say?

Just as they had no way back to God's presence without His intervention, we need a Savior too. Genesis 3:21The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them....  This is one of my favorite scriptures in the Old Testament.   God clothed them, despite their sin, and he clothes us to this day when we recognize our sin, turn and repent. We are clothed and covered by the blood of Jesus.
