Going through the motions.....

Call me old fashion, corny, anything you want, I promise I won’t take it personal….. 

“Sex before Marriage”

This is such a touchy subject with people, even Christians. God the creator of it, says what it is, and what it is for, “marriage”. 1 Corinthians 7:8-9  1 Corinthians 6:18-20  1 Thessalonians 4:3-5.

How many times have you said “If I could, I would have, should have”…. I know I sure have. But we have to grow up sometime, “In Christ” Seeking Him more, and more, on everything that breaks His heart. I have made mistakes, and still do, I just don’t practice making them.

Our burning passion should be for the things of God. Not for what someone else wants from us. True love waits!!! Look how patient God is with us in loving Him with our whole heart.

So why aren’t we as loyal to our creator as he wants us to be? Why do we pick and choose what we want to be obedient to? Because we are only loving Him with half our hearts. We have it all backwards. We count as gain, what the apostle Paul counted as loss…Philippians 3:7-8 “I consider everything a loss compared to the greatness of knowing Jesus..."

God’s word is to protect us, not harm us. We harm ourselves by doing what we want with our sexual desires. We are free to do what we want, but not without consequences.

How many times will you let your heart be broken? Both male and female are guilty in this area. Girls go on birth control not to get pregnant, or guys will use a condom, at times. Sorry what I am going to say offends anyone, but it is the truth…Guys will say “I don’t want to use a condom, because it doesn’t feel the same.” God doesn’t really care how you feel. He wants you to refrain from it. To protect us from, hurt, diseases, unwanted pregnancy, abortions. Women who are left alone to raise a newborn, because he just doesn’t feel the same anymore. I bet that’s not what he said when you both got together. It’s time to grow up… “IN CHRIST” The fullness of Him, who NEVER changes, once He has you. Unlike someone who fills you with empty words, and promises once they’ve had you.

So stop just going through the motions, wasting one more day, without the burning passion for Jesus. Do you really want to keep asking yourself, “What if I had given everything, instead of going through the motions.”

You could go to church all you want, walk forward to give your life, get baptized, But was it just a motion? Is there any change in you?

1 John 3:6 “No one who lives in Him keeps on sinning.” This means true believers DO NOT make a practice of sinning, or become indifferent to God’s moral law. Ephesians 5: 1-3 “ Not even a hint of sexual immorality...”

Women of Christ... be true… Men of Christ… be leaders.  All of us, love, and respect God… Let’s be the imitators of Christ as God’s word says.
