Sing a Song

Sin entered the world, and everything changed… Genesis 3:7 “the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked.” Did you ever take notice how toddlers never notice they are naked after their bath, but they sure love it. They never notice the difference in skin color either. What a beautiful little world. Then we all grow up, and sad to say, can get so corrupted by the world.
You know there are many people today who are insulted by being called by race, color, or creed. If there is going to be any peace, it has to begin with me and you, and God as our Father. Colossians 1:20 “and through Him to reconcile all things to himself having made peace through the blood of His cross;”`Brothers and sisters rejoicing together, singing songs to the Lord, having church right at work.
Well let me tell you about the church my daughter was having at work with her friends, and no offence was taken when she made a statement, “my other friend of different color.”
The bible tells us, “Shout for joy to the Lord.” Psalm 100: 1-2… There is no time or place in which it is inappropriate to lift our voices to the Lord. Well that’s what my daughter told me her and her friends were doing at work one day, and singing the song above altogether. They were also having conversation about what each other was going to make for thanksgiving dinner. My daughter said, “green bean casserole.” Well the friends of different color laughed, and said, “ you white people, and your green bean casserole.” No offence was taken, just laughter. My daughter said, “isn’t that funny, my other friend of different color said the same thing.” Well they all laughed, because no offence was taken, brothers and sisters in Christ, and Jesus is their source of peace.
It must have made God smile too. Hearing their conversation with laughing, instead of fighting., and hearing them sing, making a joyful noise.
I wish the world could all get along like that. One day we will. We can look forward to this, where tranquility, and joy will abound. Romans 14:17 “for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Jesus will appear one day to take us home. “he will wipe every tear from their eyes, there will be no more death, or mourning, or crying, or pain…. He is making everything new.” Revelations 21:4-5.
We will be singing songs of praise like this forever, and ever. I know that my kids will be glad that He is making everything new, including my voice. They sit right next to me at church…poor thingsJ

Grace and peace to you
Kim
