If we’re going to get the pain, we might as well know why. Click above
Don’t you often ask, “Why God” or “How long.”
Romans 8:28 says “And we know that God works all things for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”
We all know that scripture, but we sure don’t think it’s good when you’re going through it. But if you continue into verse 29 “ For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His Son.” Wow, now it makes sense. To help us in some way to be more like Jesus. I know I’m not strong enough, but God is ( In me).
2 Corinthians 12:10..We have to reach the point of giving up, total surrender. Some of us hit rock bottom till we finally look up, and reach out.
The
things that come our way, He allows, to make us more valuable to Him.
We can’t learn to love like Jesus, unless there’s someone in your life
who’s hard to love…We can’t learn the sensitive heart of Christ, without
going through a hurting time…..We can’t learn patience, without having
to wait for something, or to put up with someone who’s hard to deal
with… We can’t learn peace, without pressure on us… We can’t learn joy,
without some trial to rise above…We can’t learn faith, without going
through something we see no way out of.
Most
of these things can be very painful to go through. So it comes down to a
choice, do we let God use us or not? We may not enjoy what we’re going
through, but at least we can understand why, and the good He’s working
it out for, is to be more like His Son.
I can only do things, or go through things, “Through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
Grace and peace to you
