Who You say I am..... Hillsong

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKw6uqtGFfo

I love a conversation that broke out at work the other day. I also loved that an important truth got out with no one getting mad, just laughter.

You know Oz never gave anything to the Tin man, Scarecrow, or the Lion that they didn't already have. They just needed to be reminded. That's the same thing with us. I don't think we realize all that God want's to show us of what He has been deposited in those of us who choose to believe and follow in this love relationship with Jesus, 2 Timothy1: 7. "Who the Son sets free, is free indeed. I'm a child of God, yes I am." I am who He says I am. I have all that He says I have.

Well here's how the conversation went. I asked one of the servers if another one of the servers foot was ok. She hurt it during work. He said, "Kim, your asking the wrong person. I don't have a heart. Well all the servers who know me, knows that that statement pushed the door right open for me. I said, "well, I'm going to sit you down and tell you more about Jesus and you might just get a heart." Another server said, "he doesn't have any brains either Kim." Well we all laughed. I then proceeded to say, "well I guess you don't have any courage either. If you really knew Jesus, you would have all three." We all laughed again. I love that we could all laugh about it, but it is really a serious issue when you don't know Him.

Everyone who knows me at work, knows my passion for Jesus. There are times when someone will ask me a serious question and I pray to give an answer. Sometimes I really want to retire, but I love how I see God using me here. It's not just work, it's also a place of ministry.

Jesus tells us in James 4: 8, "Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you." The more you get to know Him, by spending time with Him, the more He draws beautiful qualities out that we don't realize are there. You begin to think clearer, have compassion for others, and the courage to stand up for yourself and others.

Some of us don't know who we are until we have that close relationship with Christ. He has a way of bringing out the best in you.

Much love
Kim D
