Hallelujah... 1 Corinthians 10:10

I wanted to share this story with you all; It touched my heart. When you hear stories like this, you get lost for words. All I could do is praise God for what only He can do for someone who hits rock bottom, and makes that turn, and cries out to Jesus… TODAY.

Who could fathom what this young singer, song writer has been through. This is truly a song of worship, and love for the Lord, even after all she’s been through.

Heather was homeless, after her mom gave her away at the age of 11. She went to live with her grandfather in Michigan.

Living with little guidance, and pain of past abuse, and rejection, she turned to drugs and alcohol as a way to numb the pain of life. She even had thoughts of suicide.

At age 18 her road took a u turn, when she was briefly reconnected with her birth father who was a Christian. She then dedicated her life to Christ, met and married her husband, and had their first child. Then another wave of tragedy struck. Her son passed away shortly after he was born.

2 Corinthians 12:9… She said she was so grateful for how far grace has brought her, and she knows there is a purpose for every life, even her 6 month old babies, Romans 8:28.  She had an awakening to God and who He is in her life, and who she is in His. Heather said her songs describe conversations, that range in emotion, but all come from a place of honesty, brokenness, and transparency before God. Her album gives you a peek of her sometimes having it out with God, sometimes crying, sometimes laughing.

We might as well be open, and honest with God, because he knows our every thought anyway. If we want Him to use us, we have to be willing to share everything! Are you willing for the One who gave us life?

Grace and peace to you
Kim

Heather says it so right in the opening of the first song, “Jesus please come TODAY!”
