I refuse!

The bible warns us not to give Satan a foothold, Ephesians 4:27.  There are many ways he creeps into our lives and families. Some things rear its ugly head later in life.

One thing that breaks my heart, because I can relate to this, is seeing all the moms leading their kids to church.  Not that they don’t have husbands to go with them, they are just choosing not to go.  I hear from friends, and people very dear to me, the excuses for the reasons why they don’t go.  That is a BIG foothold for Satan to reach the children, maybe not now, but it will be later. What you start to hear from their innocent hearts as they get older is, “Why do I have to go, daddy doesn't?” This is where it begins, and then he slowly creeps in if things don’t change.

Maybe you really never shared your heart and concerns with your husband, or it’s been a while, don’t wait, for trouble to come, because it will, and it gets harder as the kids get older.  Ephesians 5:29-33, “We are members of His body,” God’s plan for marriage has always been to be one in Him.  His word doesn’t change, and there is no excuses.  Romans 12:1-2, “Present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.”  Romans 12:2,  “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  When we know the truth, we can refuse to be pushed into God’s mold, or we can let Him have His way in us.  The bible also says in Hebrews 10:25,  “not to forsake the assembly of ourselves together.”

A relationship with Jesus, is a relationship, not a dating game. He is our first love, Revelations 2:4, “Never the less, I have this against you, that you have left your first love.”  God is a jealous God.  Exodus 20: 4-5, and deserves His rightful place in our lives.

He doesn’t care about the hypocrites in church, or how someone is dressed, or if you like the music, or even the pastor.  He doesn’t care if the game is on, or if the grass needs mowing.  He cares about you personally in relationship with Him.  Satan will use all these things, and more, to keep you from doing what pleases God.  And that is seeing you in His house.  Remember, Jesus died to create the church, Ephesians 5:25
Refuse to let the enemy have one more day of his way into your life, and your families, and friends.

You can’t force anyone to see the truth, but we can’t just sit back and not share what God’s word says to them.  That is our responsibility.  The rest is in God’s hands, and our unending prayers with joyful expectations.  Habakkuk 3:18, trust in what He can do to move them.

Grace and peace to you
Kim
