More than a friend...Jeremy Riddle

Absolutely beautiful song !!!! I could sing these words at the top of my lungs everyday!!!!

Has there ever been something that you tasted, and you were so overwhelmed with it that you couldn’t find the words to describe it? Then you couldn’t wait to have it again, but this time as a meal. You love it so much you could eat it every day. (Selah)
Jesus....The only One who can totally satisfy, fully nourish, and heal our brokenness. He is so much "More than a friend" You would be overwhelmed, lost for words to describe Him.
Some won't even try Him. If Jesus is not in your daily diet, you may live a long time, but you won't ever be healed.
Allot of people believe you can live on peanut butter and jelly. News flash.... You really can't. Your body needs all the essential vitamins and minerals to survive. If you lack them, than various problems and diseases can arise.
When people say they don't believe in God, or they are not ready to even try to seek Him, I believe it is really an excuse to keep living to please themselves. They really don't realize all the nourishment their body and soul is lacking. It reminds me of when my kids were small and whenever I would try and give them something new to taste, they would say, "no, I don't like that!" Then I would say "but you haven't even tried it to see if you'll like it." Psalm 34: 8 "Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him... for those who fear Him lack nothing....those who seek the Lord lack no good thing." Verse 11 "Come, my children, listen to me".... Just like when our little ones didn't listen to us about trying new food, either do some people about our Savior.
There was nothing that angered me more as a parent, then when my children were small and they wouldn't always listen to me. Mostly because they always hurt themselves one way or another. As they got older I knew, just like when they were small, these things that hurt them will teach them, and with much prayer, guide them to know right from wrong.
I believe God is angered with the ignorance of mankind. Maybe a better word is pride. It speaks its own opinion without searching for truth. Suffering then occurs because of "lack of knowledge" (Job 36: 12--Proverbs 5: 23--Proverbs 10: 21--Hosea 4:6) Knowledge opens the door, then through the door we see the Savior. When you meet Him, you can't help but fall in love with Him. There will never be anyone too lost for Him to save. If you would just open your heart, you will see Him so much better than your eyes. Pride blocks our view and we will see nothing. Knowledge removes the blockage.
When we begin our relationship with Jesus, our knowledge of His word is partial and incomplete. As we get to know Him more and more we experience just how good He is. "Taste and see"
If we don't take the first step of obedience we will never discover the indescribable love!

My prayer is we all get a hunger for all Jesus wants us to know about Him. Don't be afraid to change your diet from what the world has to offer, to Jesus. Jesus, you are so much more than my friend. More than my heart could ever express. You bring so much joy to my soul. Thank you for forgiving me in my daily failures. Picking me back up, and sending me off to try again.
