I'm still Yours.....Kutless

Beautiful lyrics to really pray about!!

Since it is the # 1 command, what is it to truly "Love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength"  Deuteronomy 6:5...Mark 12: 30-31...Luke 10: 27...Matthew 22: 37..

The closer I desire to be to God, the more I understand "True Love" for Him. You can't conditionally love God. Just when things are all going right. Love for God should be under ALL conditions. No matter what is allowed to come our way. Whether it be a time of heartache for the loss of a loved one, a broken marriage, a time of illness that has put you down for a while, waiting for results from a surgery, or getting results you didn't want to hear and so on.... God knows and hears our prayers, and the prayers of others praying for the best for us. But if you really think about your relationship and love for Him, is He really enough for you? Will your broken heart still sing?

"If you lost it all, would your hands stay lifted, to the God who gives and takes away? When your life is not what you expected, and the plans you made have failed, and when there's nothing left to steal you away, WILL HE BE ENOUGH FOR YOU?"  Will anything separate you from the love of Christ? Romans 8: 31-39 I pray you read this scripture with an open loving heart for Jesus !

This is truly a willing growth area with God. I desire to have this kind of love for Him. I am not strong enough to face any trials in life, but He carries me through them ALL ! I have had marital problems. I have been diagnosed with severe nerve damage in my legs which has caused me to have drop foot. Not being able to do all the things I use to do in the gym, but still blessed enough to work out. I get scared every time I go for my mammograms because I have had several lumps removed. Each time hoping not to hear that this one is cancer. I have watched my husband battle a cancer that almost took his life. I believe God allows these things to happen in our lives, just like he did with Job and others in the bible who say they love Him. (Job 13: 15.) Luke 22: 31-33, Satan will continue to ask to "sift you as wheat" How will we run this race of life? They ran and won, and I want to run and win too ! SO get behind me Satan, nothing will stop my love for my God, or His for me !!

I believe with all my heart, that strength in any situation we are praying for comes when our mind is focused on God and His will in our lives. So knowing that prayers are being lifted and heard, knowing that God knows my fears, hopes and desires. Knowing that God has EVERYTHING in my life in the palm of His hands and under control, gives me great peace and strength of mind. This brings me to the point in my own prayer and love for Him to say, "Not my will Lord, but Yours be done." Complete surrender, ALL THAT WE ARE and hope for, to lay it all down at the foot of the cross and trust Him through EVERYTHING !

God WILL show Himself strong for those of us who trust Him. Our cross may break us to pieces, but the cross is where the POWER of Christ is in us !!
