All of me .... Matt Hammitt

Great song, and the testimony of what happened in his life to write this. Click on the video at the end to hear it, you don’t want to miss it!
We all can probably use these lyrics in our own personal way. I know I can, and I thank my God for the grace and strength that can only come from Him to press on through trials that will happen in this life. Trials come in ALL shapes and sizes, but God overcomes them all. Nothing is too big or too hard for Him.
Have you ever been hurt? I believe we all have one way or another. How do you press on? This is what the bible tells us in Philippians 3: 13-14. “ But one thing I do: Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Are you afraid to love again? Could you move on if something was torn away? What is it in your life that God is showing you is out of your control? Why do we keep looking back instead of pressing on towards the goal? We shouldn't let pain keep us from moving forward. Every fear, and every fallen tear is worth seeing God more clearly and what His purpose is in our life.
Maybe God wants you to give all of yourself to Him because you haven't made that commitment yet. Maybe it's to your marriage, forgiving, loving and praying for that person who hurt you so bad. Maybe it's trusting God for the new direction He has you in that you don't understand. Whatever the case is, and you think you can't move on, put your hope in the promises of God to His children. Psalm 119: 49-50 "Remember Your word to Your servant, for You have given me hope. My comfort in my suffering is this: YOUR PROMISE PRESERVES MY LIFE."

In the 25 years that I have been growing in my walk with Jesus, I haven't always held His hand or heard His voice inside the storm. What I know of faith, is to keep my eyes on Jesus even though the waves are crashing all around me. If I am going to do something that will bring total glory to God, I've got to give Him "All of me" because I want all of Him! Faith is stepping out without knowing the outcome. But whatever the outcome is it doesn't matter, because something GREAT is going to happen inside you every time! MORE and MORE of Jesus, isn't that GREAT!!!

Jesus gave His whole heart and died for us while we were yet sinners. He didn't wait to see if we would clean up our act, He went to the cross in obedience to His Fathers will and died for all our sins. Talk about love, All of Himself for all of my sins. I could only pray to love people with this kind of heart as my Savior. You know the saying, "love the sinner, hate the sin." This I believe is a lifelong lesson which has a personal meaning to each and every one of us, and you must admit, we all have a lesson to learn on unconditional love. Pain in allowed in our lives not to crush us, but to lift us up on Eagles wings.  Then you will be able to give all of yourself, even when it hurts.

It's pretty much common sense that you can't give half your heart to anything you are praying for and pray that God makes it whole. You have to give it your whole heart, just like Jesus did for us. It cost Him everything, but He told us we were worth it. What is worth it to you? God will not deliver us from every difficulty, but that is where our faith grows. 2 Corinthians 7: 5, You may be "harassed at every turn" but God never left His throne, and He still fights our battles. So if I give God all of me, I will receive all the grace I need. Then by faith, and knowing I have Jesus supporting me on all sides teaching me to endure, I can move forward to victory in Him. Don't look back and keep that heart of stone. Fear will set in and your faith starts to fade. Keep your eyes on Jesus, take His hand and press on with your cross of suffering and embrace the joy set before you. See what God has in store. It was worth it for Jesus, so it will be worth it for us too!

I know what God is telling me, "Forget what is behind and strain forward to what lies ahead." It is worth facing every fear and every fallen tear. I'm giving "All of me!"
