Here’s another one of those songs that comes on the
radio, and if I’m in my car on the busiest highway, I want to just
stand right in the road, blast it on full volume, and raise my hands in
worship! I hope this song helps take you to His many wonders, and your
soul will ring out a Sacred Hallelujah!
May God open our eyes to see and recognize the awe in His grace freely given.
How do we respond to Gods Great love for us?
First recognize that His hands and feet were nailed to a tree for our sins. He bled and died, "it's by grace [we] have been saved." (Ephesians 2: 5). We are forgiven by the precious grace that flows down and covers us.
This is amazing love, love beyond what you or I can comprehend.
Because we are all sinners, “justified freely by His grace,” Romans 3:24, we are all a part of the ones who, “despised and rejected [Him]...” (Isaiah 53:3). This Easter I watched, “Passion of the Christ” again. I can’t believe
how cruel people could be, and get such enjoyment and laughter when
beating Jesus nearly to death. Then as if that wasn't enough, on His mile walk to Calvary to be crucified on the cross he carried, they still
kicked and beat Him. I remember yelling out, “Jesus stay down, don’t
get up anymore!” They were so heartless, and He died for them, and us
anyway. He even had enough breath in Him to say, “Father forgive them
for they know not what they are doing.” (Luke 23: 34).
Now that I know the truth, I am held highly accountable for what I do with Jesus and His grace freely given to me. John 3:36 tells us, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on him.”
Oh if we could love like He loved, and live like He lived. God’s word tells us in 1 John 3:23, “This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us.”
I
am so captivated by His love for us. He deserves our GREATEST
ADORATION. “Jesus, Son of God is His name.” To believe, “in the name,”
means to pattern your life after His. To become more like Him. If we are
living like Jesus, we will, “love one another,” and pray for the lost.
I pray you behold His beauty, and the wonders of His Great love for us all.
Kim
