Still...Hillsong United... To Rhonda and Al, prayers are lifted in Jesus Name

Psalm 56: 3 “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You”

I praise you my Father for Your Devine appointments. I do not believe in coincidences, I believe You are EVERYWHERE and in EVERYTHING!!! (God Incidences) We need to be the ones looking up and around us more to see where You are at work.

Sometimes we are put in situations where we have no choice but to be still and know He is God. It truly is the only place to find rest. Like the lyrics “Find rest my soul, in Christ alone. Know His power in quietness and trust.”
It’s also a really nice thing when someone notices you are distressed and takes the time to comfort you somehow.

When I drive to work, I always pray for God to open doors, to show me where He is at. What can I do for You today Lord? It’s not every day He shows me, but when he does it’s AWESOME!!!

One day in all of our lives, we will have to face oceans that rise, and the thunders that roar. Who will you soar with above the storm? Who might God send to comfort you? Or who might He show you needs comfort? If you’re always looking down at your cell phones, or just never lift your head to say hello to someone, you could miss great opportunities.

In a world with all this technology, and people who want the best of the best cell phones, it seems like everyone is looking down all the time. I thank God I am old fashion. I like looking UP!! I love to say hi, and talk to people. If we always are looking down at our phones, how will we notice anyone in need? Satan is really having his way of disconnecting people and relationships, or just comforting someone with an encouraging word. Think about it, are you one who is always looking at your cell phone? No matter where you are at, a party, out to dinner, your families get together. What is so important? You can’t get time back that one day you will wish you had. Look up and around you. There are people who need someone to talk to, or just hold their hand and comfort them. I got to notice it twice in one day, praise God.

I got a call on my radio at work to go wait at the front of the convention center for an ambulance coming to check on a guest who was not feeling well and waiting in one of our meeting rooms for them to come. On my way to the front, I passed a women sitting on the bench outside the room where they said this other women was who wasn’t feeling well. I thought that she was the one waiting because she looked like she was in a lot of pain. So I said to her, “I am going to check on the ambulance right now for you.” She said, “Oh it’s not for me, it is for the women I brought in that room there.” I said, “are you sure you’re O.K.?” She said, “I’ll be fine.” I told the men which room to go to for the other guest, and couldn’t wait to get back to the women on the bench. Not that I didn’t care about the women that the ambulance was there for, but God wanted me to check on this women again. I said again, “are you sure you’re O.K., can I get you anything?” She then told me why she was in pain. She was told a few weeks ago that she has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I melted on the bench right next to her and just wanted to cry. I said to her, “ Oh sweet Jesus, I don’t know what to say. I am so sorry! How is your faith?” She said, “I have faith, I am just scared to death!” I said, “God knows, and with all good reason. I don’t care how much faith we have, God understands our fears. Can I pray for you?” She said, “Please do.” So I did, and didn’t care who was around. It was like we were in our own little realm. I told her the next day that I was just writing my blog on the song “Oceans.. Where feet may fail.” I told her I don’t believe in coincidences, I believe God ordained for us to meet on this very day and time. She agreed, and told me she will never forget me.  I printed the lyrics out for her and gave her my blog spot. I will never forget that Devine appointment.
Rhonda, I thank God every day for meeting you and being able to hold your hand and pray. He places you on my heart every day, several times a day, and I lift you up to Him. I hope you feel His embrace daily. Now you are in my thoughts and a part of my conversations with God every day.

Another one God had me take notice of was Al. He is our custodial coordinator, someone who I work with a few days a week. I noticed his look was very down. His hello wasn’t the same. I asked if he was O.K. and he just gave me a nod. The next day he came to me and said, “so you noticed?” I said, “yes, what’s wrong?” He said, “I had a procedure done to cut a cancer out of my throat a few weeks ago and I am getting ready in a few days to find out the results and if they got it all.” He continue to say, “you know, the wait can be exhausting.” I said, “oh yes, I sure do!” I got to share with him about my husband’s cancer and healing in his esophagus. It seemed to comfort him, and put a big smile on his face. I told him I would pray for him.

Look up people… One day you may be the one waiting for someone to notice you and be that voice of encouragement sent by God.

P.S. Please pray for Al, and Rhonda….
