What a GREAT SONG, asking a POWERFUL question!! If you can’t watch this video all the way through, then just bow your head and listen!!!
Jesus asks a question to us all!!! “Who do you say I am” Mark 8:29…. Well what do you call Him? Do you say He is Lord of your life? Do you call yourself a Christian? Maybe we really don’t understand what Lord of our life, or being a Christian really means. I know my life is not always focused on Jesus, but my heart’s desire is to be more and more like Him, and obey Him. To me that is a Christian, and to obey makes Him my Lord (Master)
Here is a prayer we could pray…
Lord Jesus,
we have not always put you first.
Our lives have not always been in submission to you.
Our hearts have not always been focused on you.
Forgive us,
Change us,
turn us around,
transform us!
In Jesus' Name, Amen
God knows we would never be perfect, not even the most religious person. In fact, religion is far from the truth. Being a good person is far from the truth. ANYTHING other than JESUS is far from truth! That is why God gave us His Son. By His wounds we are healed. Clothed in majesty only because of Jesus! How is your relationship with Him? Do you make excuses not to go to church with your family. The bible states not to forsake the fellowship with others,Hebrews 10: 25. Do you have better things to do, or things that are more important to do than spending some time with your Savior every day, not just Sunday?
***This is a verse in the bible that Jesus states, that I believe we all need to really do a DEEP HEART check. Matthew 7: 21-23“Not all who say to me, “Lord Lord” will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father Who is in heaven”…
What is a relationship to you? Don’t you just love to spend time with that person, and when you can’t you at least want to talk to them? Now a days if you can’t spend time with the person, you can text them ALL DAY LONG!!! That is all Jesus wants. Time… a relationship with us. That is why some of us really need to do a heart check. How can we say we are a Christian, and that Jesus is Lord of our life if we don’t have a love relationship with Him. Yes you may know Him and believe everything the bible says about Him. But if God has given you time, time to live here on earth, we are without excuse for not knowing, or treating Him as LORD Romans 1:20. He did not die this brutal death just so we can have a casual relationship with Him.
Let’s stop just doing a wedding rehearsal with our Lord and make a commitment. Without giving ourselves to Him fully, as He gave Himself for us, we have not received Him as Lord even though you have accepted Him as Savior. It does not end there as Matthew 7: 21- 23 states. To me this is a very serious verse to think about!!!
So as the song states, “I don’t have it all together, I know that we don’t have forever. So I’d be a fool to let this moment pass us by. So at the risk of sounding crazy, let me ask you. If you died tonight, where would you be? Where would your soul spend eternity? You can call me narrow minded, but I believe in your heart there lies the proof. If you look down deep you’ll find it.”
