How many people go to church every Sunday but they remain the same. They may even be able to quote scripture but even Satan knows scripture.  Just going to church doesn't make anyone more godly. It's being the Word, hungry for the Word,  and letting the Word change you and stop making excuses for your lifestyle. Jesus is the Word. We really have no excuse to be more godly. The Word tells us we have everything we need. 2 Peter 1: 3 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and goodness." ... 

But if you really don't know the Word and you're only going through religious motions, this scripture fits well.2 Timothy 3: 5 "having a form of godliness but denying its power"..... 

When we accepted Jesus Christ to be our Savior the Holy Spirit entered us. So if the Holy Spirit, the Word,  isn't changing us to look more like Jesus, my opinion is we have to think, are we really saved. God wants to grow Himself inside us. So we have to feed ourself the Word. Not just depend on pastors or other people or bible studies. He wants an intimate relationship with us. We should be on the same page with God. What breaks his heart should break ours.

Lord God, may our life glorify You.

Restless Audrey Assad

Are you restless? Have you ever wondered what is missing in your life because you're never satisfied? Our hearts will be restless until we rest in Him. No wonder why He made that the number one commandment, Mark 12:29-30. Loving the Lord God with all our heart, mind and soul and strength. Do you want that rest? Then ask Him for it and walk in it.  Return to Him with all your heart. He knows what we put first in our life. 

 Just think how good you feel when your kids call you just to see how your doing. Just to talk to you and not want anything. I can only imagine how God feels when we just want to spend time with Him and not ask Him for anything. Just to wake up and thank Him for another day. Just to sit in His presence. There's nothing like it. I can't explain it. I only know that is true. I never feel alone.

 Jeremiah 6 :16 ...ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls.But you said, ‘We will not walk in it.’ 

Isaiah 30: 15 This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says:

“In repentance and rest is your salvation,

    in quietness and trust is your strength,

    but you would have none of it.
