Flood....Jars of Clay

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfAhpX_wIBk

Oh how the lyrics of this song fit how I felt Spiritually for a few days drowning in my own thoughts....

Well as I began to write this, on the side in the little pop up bar shows a water drop with a big smile. I wish I could copy and paste it but I couldn't. The caption said... When water attacks find a plumber. It was a Roto-Rooter add. Well my daughter and I found a Sub Pump that did a great job. In the mess of all that was happening with the "Flood" in my back yard, Jesus stepped in my drowning thoughts and my joy was back.

When water is stagnant, you don't have to invite the mosquitoes, they're just going to come. The same with our Christian walk. Stay stagnant in your relationship with Jesus, you don't have to invite the enemy, he'll just creep in.

Due to all the rain we have been getting day after day, and the way the guy behind me built up his structure, and the horrible drainage, well really none, my back yard was a swimming pool! No exaggeration! My mind was giving into negative thoughts, and not so nice ones about the guy behind me either. Even thoughts to the point that I was wondering if I should just sell my home and go into a condo. This was as I was just having a new floor put in, and just put up a new privacy fence. Talk about stupid thoughts. Every time the dark clouds would roll in, I would panic. Psalm 30:5, but joy comes in the morning! Even if the storm clouds continued to roll in.

Happiness is based on circumstances you are in. Joy is no matter what you are in, it doesn't leave you. That's because it's within you. Hebrews 12: 2 says, "For the joy set before Him He endured the cross".... Joy before being crucified. Can you wrap your mind around that?
Now since Jesus walked that path before me, He shows me how in every circumstance. He lifts me up when I'm falling, when I'm weak and feel like I am dying. He keeps me from staying under and drowning in my own negative thoughts. You need the water stirred up, and the Sprit of God will do that if you continue to seek Him, cry out to Him. He's got BIG, BIG shoulders, and He's without a doubt, a GOOD, GOOD, Father.

Perfect Wisdom of our God.....Keith and Krystin Getty

Ephesians 1: 17........Confused, don't understand what's happening in your life, "where are You God" you cry out? We can look at things from our point of view, which is never the full view that God sees. Do we want to continue to see things from our level, or from High above it all? That's God's view. He sits above it all, through it all, and already at the end of it all. That's the view I want. I pray for this spirit of wisdom in all things.

"Oh grant me wisdom from above. Each strand of sorrow has a place, within the tapestry of grace. So through the trials I choose to say, "Your perfect will, Your perfect way."

If we live our life by what makes sense, we will never walk by faith. I don't have to understand everything to obey God. I have a choice to put my full trust in the Creator of my story and purpose in this gift of life He has given me for a time. Better to obey than live with regret.

Romans 5:2.....James 1: 2-5.....
Persevere, even when it doesn't make sense to you, it does to God. He's got the view from above the woven tapestry. If I was to answer the question, "does God make sense the way He does things?" I would have to say "NO." But when I seek and ask God for wisdom, I get His perspective. I see things from the eyes of His loving patient heart.
When you look at this world for what it is, it is filled with awesome purpose for our eternal home. When you really see it for this truth, and eternal truth is God's truth, you see just how faithful He is in how He answers prayer. Keep your hope in that and you will never be disappointed.

Fresh Outpouring....Kim Walker

..."His incomparably great power for us who believe"....
Do you need a "fresh outpouring"? I do! Everyday, a daily overdose!

Ephesians 1: 17-23.....
"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength  he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead"....

If you are a believer in Jesus Christ, you have a purpose, and it's not just to walk through life knowing you are going to heaven when you die. It's to tell the world of the hope you found in Jesus. That is a command for us all!
Verse 18.. "I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you"... Yes, He's calling us to enter in to His Kingdom purposes on our earthly journey.

As you grow in your relationship with Jesus, you realize you are not absent of trials, but your not absent of His full presence either. 2 Corinthians 4:7-12, We will be.... "hard pressed on every side, BUT NOT CRUSHED... struck down, BUT NOT DESTROYED".... When you read scriptures like this, and Romans 8: 18-37... and 2 Corinthians 1: 3-10, your Spiritual eyes open to get an understanding of why Christians still to this day are suffering. Verse 3 of 2 Corinthians 1, "Praise be to God....Who comforts us in our troubles"... IN THEM, not from them. (Selah)
God always did, and still does allow troubles to come our way. 1 Peter 4: 12-14 even tells us, .... "do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you"....I don't think many of us realize how ready we need to be each day. We live in a world of constant spiritual warfare, Ephesians 6:12.
God can't work through us until He can work in us. We are here to submit to God's will so that He can work in us, then through us as He desires. Once we really understand our struggles, and that we have been saved so that Jesus can shine through all of them, that's when God uses us to encourage others in their struggles.

I pray that God finds less and less complaints in us and more of a Spiritual readiness to be "more than conquerors through Him"... Ask God for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. See what happens.

It was Finished.....Bryan and Katie Torwalt

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBgYFxWBfdk

Luke 24: 2-3, ... "They found the stone rolled away from the tomb."

1 Corinthians 15: 55-57------------ Did you know that death, if you are a believer, has no sting? God gives us victory through Jesus Christ. There is no other way. Jesus Christ, Who defeated death, says in John 14:6, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would know my Father as well".... Here's one I really love that Jesus made in John 11:25,"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."

I lost my husband and my dad recently to life on this earth. But I find such comfort knowing that they put their faith in Jesus Christ long before they knew they were going to be called home. Now they have life everlasting. I don't know what I would do if I didn't believe this with all my being. This is how I live each day with the abundant joy that Jesus Christ wants me to have while I continue to experience this life here. I have moments of grieving, but Jesus is the lifter of my head and thoughts.

2 Corinthians 5: 8 says: "We are confident......to be absent from the body and present with the Lord." I love this because we aren't even dead long enough to realize we died! Our last breath here, and our next breath in heaven. Only because Jesus said, "It is finished." Darkness was slain. All His passion poured out on the cross for a world in need of a Savior.

He conquered death!!! The power of God for all those who believe.
