Don't give up on me.....Mercy Me

I looked up the meaning of discipline, and here is a few I thought were really good.... .
“The practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience.” (Yes it hurts, but at least you know He hasn’t given up on you.)----“Training expected to produce a specific character or pattern of behavior, especially training that produces moral or mental improvement.” “Controlled behavior resulting from disciplinary training.”

Who loves their child more, the parent that lets their child do as they please, or the one who corrects and trains them to learn right from wrong? Hebrews 12: 5-11 “ Do not make light of the Lords discipline….the Lord disciplines those He loves….No discipline seems pleasant at the time but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.”

Discipline is a sign of DEEP LOVE! We may not feel like it is when we’re growing up, but as you get older you will appreciate every punishment, and every training routine that produced the person you are. Maybe you come from parents that gave up on you. God NEVER will. It may be hard for you to comprehend, but He will find you no matter where you are, and He loves you no matter what state you’re in. From a potty training child to adulthood, He sees so much more in us than we will ever see in ourselves.

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” (Proverbs 22: 6) Training someone is not forcing anything upon them. We are all responsible for our own choices. The lessons growing up are not easy, but the lessons of parenting are not easy either. Through many mistakes I made as a parent in disciplining my girls, I’ve learned that when they get older and know the Truth, there is a time to let go and realize that they are God’s before they were a gift entrusted to me. God never forces Himself and His ways upon anyone. He trains us along the way, and training comes with discipline.

When I was a personal trainer I worked for a gym that trusted me, knowing I was certified in this profession. I was able to design a routine that was personally designed for the benefits of each individual. Not many people are disciplined to eat right and exercise, so they make a choice to hire a personal trainer to push them, to help them improve in better behaviors. They know in the long run it is better to live a disciplined life style than to do as they please. As a trainer, I took my profession very seriously. I wanted the best for my clients health and hoped that they would apply everything I taught them in their life when they stopped their training with me. I taught them the truth of proper eating habits combined with exercise. There is a lot of false teachings out there, (quick fixes) that are harmful.

2 Timothy 3:16 “All scripture is God breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” God’s word is truth. It is our standard for testing everything else that claims to be true. It helps us to recognize false teaching, and is our source of knowledge on how we should live.
There is no one who knows us better than God, and the training will never end while we are here. There’s no Personal Trainer better than Jesus, if you know what I mean. If you don’t, then you are truly missing the best relationship of your life. He loves us so much, and took His mission so seriously, that He died for all of our sins. He won’t force Himself in our lives, we have to make that choice.

Everything our heavenly Father teaches us from His word is for our own good and also to equip us to do good. It will help us to raise our families in truth and how to do Christ’s work in the world. God  never gives up on us, so we should never give up on the work we are given to do.

Joel 1: 3 “Tell it to your children, and let your children tell it to their children, and their children to the next generation.” I guess you could see how important this is to God. He urges us to pass our lessons of life on. This is a great gift to the younger generation, to help them avoid our mistakes and repeat our successes.

We believe!! Newsboys

If you don’t believe the lyrics of this song, what foundation do you stand on when times of fear, doubt, and desperation come?(and they will come) Who do you turn to for hope?  The bible says you stand on “sinking sand” Matthew 7: 24-29
Here is what happens when you believe, and stand on Christ the “solid rock” What comfort it is to reach out in prayer to the family of believers who believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit Who gives us NEW LIFE! This is a prayer I prayed for my mom the other day and reached out by email…..The responses were overwhelming, and so comforting!!!

Hi all
I know all I could do is ask for prayer and God is faithful. My mom has been caring for my dad who has dementia. She is very tired and stressed with all good reason. Please just take a minute and pray for her strength to continue in all that she has to do every day. My mom has always put herself last for as long as I can remember.
I know God hears and answers, so please lift her up, her name is Delores.
Thank you all
KIM
***I have just prayed for Delores and will continue to lift her up to our gracious and loving Lord.
Blessings!
Sandy Brueggen
*** Of course !!!!! Kelly
**Praying for Dee…. Betty
**Dear Heavenly Father,
Please wrap your hands around Aunt Kimmie's mom, Delores, comfort her and provide her strength. Lord you are our strength when we are weak and we thank you for that Lord Jesus. ....All we can do is lift our hands up to Him and put our trust and faith in Him. Tell your mom that "this too shall pass."
In your precious name, Amen!
Love you Aunt Kim!!!!! Xoxoxo…  Steph
**I will lift her up right now! Love you… Mary
**Dear Father,
Please continue to bless Mrs. Delores, give her all the strength that she will need to take care of her husband and her sister.  She is tired but I know with You she will get the strength, courage and confidence that she needs to continue on.  Share Your love with her so that she will never be alone.  You are someone that she can always depend on, so touch her spirit and make her temple strong and give her the inner peace so that she can continue to walk.  In the name of Jesus, God is Love.  Amen! Denise Vick
** I will lift her up in prayer Kim.  You mother is a special lady.  Being a caregiver can be very difficult.  Is there any way that you could set something up to have meals brought to them for a while, I know in my community of friends we are always doing that for new moms or people who have had physical issues (Take them a meal.com is a website to help coordinate that type of ministry), or perhaps you could outreach asking for people to run errands or cleaning for your mom.  Sometimes it is just the little things that help lighten the physical load.  Thanks for letting me know that she is in need of prayer.  Hope that you and your family are well.
Blessings,
Lula
**This is just a few of the prayers that were lifted for my mom from those of us who believe! Thank all of you so much for the streams of living water that flowed to our Father’s ears!! The bible says in John 7: 38 “Whoever believes in Me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water flow from within him.”  If you have not experienced this New Life that flows from within out to a broken generation, my prayer for you is that you seek this firm foundation, one salvation, Jesus Christ. “We believe in the crucifixion, we believe that He conquered death, we believe in the resurrection and He’s coming back again.” Do you believe?

For the glory of it all....David Crowder

What POWERFUL WORDS !!!  “Oh the Glory of it all is He came here, for the rescue of us all”….

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wXsQbzBQ6ck This video will give you God bumps !!!

When I read God’s “LIVING” word, and then hear someone’s story of giving and sacrificial love, God shows me just how living it still is!!

I want to focus just on Jesus saying, “Go and sell all you have” (Matthew 19:21…Mark 10:21) What depths would we go in desperation for those we love? Jesus took it to the cross. The disciples died for what they believed. Sacrificial love, can we even fathom what this really means? I thought I knew, and then I hear this story that just RIPS at my heart!!

The story of our Savior Jesus Christ, should always drive us to give, love and sacrifice. Why do we get so complaisant? Let’s take our rose colored glasses off so we can see what goes on ALL OVER THE WORLD. Matthew 16: 24-25 … “whoever loses his life for Me will find it.”

Here is a brief story of a thirteen year old girl that is heartbreaking, yet inspiring. Heartbreaking because things like this are going on all over the world while I sleep in my comfortable bed at night, and go on my yearly vacations. It’s stories like this, and stories of people who have been through major devastation and tragedies in other parts of the world, who live life everyday with barely nothing, still raising their hands in worship, still believing for something better.  Now that’s INSPIRING!!

We should all take a brief look outside our living conditions, and take a glimpse into others who have NOTHING!

This young thirteen year old girl, sold her most valuable possession, her virginity. She wasn’t sold into sex trade, she WILLINGLY gave of herself in desperation for a loved one. Sex trade happens all over the world, but this girls story is different, it was sacrificial and took place in Cambodia where men are willing to pay one thousand dollars or more for a night with a virgin. I am not going to go in full detail of what I read, but I can tell you that it is heartbreaking! She is the oldest of three. Her father abandoned them, her mother became seriously ill and in need of medical care. There was no money. She had a neighbor who knew of a brothel owner who would pay a lot of money for a young virgin. Long story short, she was told to sell her virginity to save her mother and siblings. She spent three years in a brothel, having sex with more than seven hundred men a year before being rescued out of this. I guess no one told her that once you’re in you can’t get out. What gets me about this true story is what she said, “I finally decided to sell my virginity because I wanted my mother to be healthy, and I wanted to help my family’s living conditions to be improved so that we could have enough food to eat.” Sweet Jesus, I don’t think half of us realize what goes on around the world, but God does and His heart breaks!!
This young girl after being rescued  by the International Justice Mission, has committed her life to Jesus Christ,(now she has everything) and is being discipled at a local Baptist church. She now has a small apartment, and is raising her younger brother and sister.  She is an example of the great “rescue mission of God”
If you are a Christian, what are you doing to build His Kingdom right here on earth?

When “all is lost, find Him there…after night, Dawn is there…after all falls apart, He repairs….Oh the glory of it all is He came here, for the rescue of us all, that we may live.”

Just the way you are....Bruno Mars

Absolutely LOVE this secular song. The video is so cute, and it is done in such good taste. It makes me think of how secure and special someone can make you feel with words spoken like the lyrics in this song.

“When I see your face, there’s not a thing that I would change, cause your amazing just the way you are. You know I’d never ask you to change. If perfects what you’re looking for than just stay the same.”

There is a book in the bible that can teach us a lot on how to make our lover (husband or wife), feel secure, special, and wanted. Just read Song of Songs, especially their conversation in chapter 1: 9-17.

Sex is a beautiful thing that God created to multiply, but also for pleasure between married couples. Continue to speak special words to one another. It would probably be less heard from your wife, “I’m tired and have bad headache.” I think it is important to always make your partner feel wanted, respected, and special. Especially as years go by with one another, and time and age are making their change when you look in the mirror.

In talking with a lot of my lady friends, and even young married girls, there is a lot of things today that can make you feel insecure. The T.V commercials, and T.V programs that hold back pretty much nothing visual anymore. Sexy Victoria Secret girls in their undergarments that really doesn't leave much to the imagination. Even the way some girls choose to dress today has gotten very revealing. You have to be so careful what your kids might see on T.V, even in the early evening hours.

A lot of people struggle with insecurity today, both young and old. Don’t compare yourself with anyone. You are what God created. Reality is, there will always be someone more attractive, better built, more intelligent than you. Don’t use these things as an excuse for your own self esteem. Be happy and secure with what God created you to be inside and out. Replace any lies in your mind with God’s word which is truth. There is nothing to gain from insecurity, but everything to gain by being secure in Christ and how much He loves you. Remember, He created your inmost being, and you were fearfully and wonderfully made, and His works are wonderful, Psalm 139: 13-16.

When God made you there’s not a thing that He would change, because your amazing……..   “Just the Way you Are.”

Check out this young girls 2 minute rap.. YOU WILL LOVE IT, and pass it on.

Where I Belong....Mercy Me

Are you satisfied with being called a "believer?" Or do you have this burning desire to "become" part of God's story?
To grow His kingdom "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." If this is your desire, than no matter what you do in life, you will feel totally complete.

Life is a road where we all are searching for what it is we are going to do and be, and who that special someone is that we are going to spend the rest of our lives with. Have you found where you belong, what your purpose is, and maybe that special someone? Do you feel complete, or do you find yourself always searching and unsatisfied?

My daughter made me laugh when she told me what my grandson wanted to be when he grows up. He said he wanted to be a "garbage man." Now I don't know if he wanted to drive the truck, or be the one who flings the garbage. I just laughed to myself and thought, "so what,.. as long as he is happy and keeps Jesus in his heart and the driver of his life, he can't go wrong.

If you are a Christian, than you are the bride of Jesus Christ, a part of His purpose and story. Along with this commitment comes a command, not just to know Him as Savior of our sins, but as "Lord of our lives." Jesus even questioned "why do you call me Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?" (Luke 6:46).. Jesus came to die for the sins of the world that's true, but He also left us with a job to do. One that is more important than anything you will do, or be in your lifetime. That is in Matthew 28: 19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations.".... Not just believers, but disciples. We have it easy in the U.S, and we still have a problem with this mission of Jesus.

Think of the vows that are said at the altar in the presence of God when we say "I do." Everything changes, it's not all about you anymore. It's about the two of you. Love and sacrifice, sacrifice and love. Now put your name and Jesus in the commitment vow. "I Kim, take You Jesus, to be my husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, from this day forward"......
When we say "I do" to Jesus, everything in our lives changes. It becomes you and Him. Not just sitting back with our ticket to heaven. Not continuing in life as we choose. It's Him and you going at this world together to build His kingdom. Through thick and thin, good times and bad times, never giving up. What could make a person feel more complete, than being and doing what the Author of our life story shows us.

Once you arrive at this truth, you can't keep it inside. Acts 4: 20 "For we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard."
My prayer is, if you are not satisfied, feeling incomplete, that you will keep searching what God has to offer, rather than the things of this world. Like the lyrics say "Once you truly see the very reason why YOU BREATH, it becomes SO MUCH MORE than just getting by."

Life is very exciting when you find your place, the place where you belong. Sharing your faith even when you feel uncomfortable. Remember you Audience is "ONE" and He gives you a standing ovation every time.

What it means to love....Meredith Andrews

What does it mean to love? Love wants the best for someone and God gave us His Son. Once you receive this truth, you don't want to go back to life a usual. You change, but maybe not as quickly as others think you should. This can cause problems in the family of believers.

Differences of opinion should never cause division in the church family. Each of us is held accountable to Christ not to others. Our differences should be handled with love, not gossip. Differences can be a great source of learning if handled correctly. Jesus is a blanket of grace, and He wraps Himself around us and says "Go and sin no more." We should grow to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit at any given moment, and becoming stronger in our faith and walk with God. We are entitled to our opinion, but it should never go against God's word.

I know I am not just preaching to myself here. I hope this helps any other sister or brother in your walk with Jesus. God doesn't stop us from having fun. He just wants us to be very sensitive to His leading at any given moment, because you never know who it might affect at that given time for His glory. Maybe He doesn't want you to watch that movie tonight, or sit and listen to the conversation that is going on at that moment. Maybe he doesn't want you going out tonight for your safety. Maybe He doesn't want you to have that glass or two of wine  tonight. He expects us to be obedient at any given moment, not to not have fun. If we go against this prompting of the Holy Spirit, or don't seek Him in prayer, than we are wrong.  Ephesians 4: 30 "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God" Ignorance of any prompting of the Holy Spirit can cause us harm, and any other person God puts in our path at that time.

Just as Christ loves the church and gave Himself up for us, we should love each other in the family of believers. When people on the outside see that we can't even get along, they don't want to enter in.  Satan has NO POWER over God, and loves to cause this division. This is where he loves to come in and be the great deceiver that he is. He will tear apart families, especially the family of believers. He can't out power God, so he gets to us by causing the family to fight and disagree over stupid things like... having a glass or 2 of wine...having a tattoo...having a piercing....having a gay friend....being seen in the bar downtown and so on.... I urge you to read Romans 14. There will always be things we disagree about because they may be unclear to us in God's word. But I want to stress that some areas are very clear and forbidden in scripture. These are the areas that the family of believers should agree upon and not argue with one another. We are to be the salt and light of the world. Shine the light in dark areas. Use salt and not a meat tenderizer. God never changes and either does His word, whether we like it or not.
Once I went from religion to a relationship with Jesus, I wanted to take His story to everyone I met. I knew I would never be the same. When He took my hand and led the way, something happened deep inside of me. Because of this personal experience with Him, I can't go back to life as usual. I don't even want to.
It is such a great love for Him, that I want to be and do all that pleases Him. That is the only way I could show Him how grateful I am for His sacrifice for me, and taking all my sins to the cross. I don't want to take this precious grace for granted.

I am not, and never will claim to be perfect, but I was created to be "conformed to the image of His Son." He set the example of what He wants to see in us.
I strive to work on any areas of my thought life, and my actions, that the Lord shows me in my life that need to be worked out. Sometimes it seems like I will never stop learning new things I do wrong. But that's o.k, because it just keeps me closer to His side, and I always feel like a child at 54.

Satan is a deceiver. My prayer is that God gives us the grace to stop arguing with each other over matters that are not worth arguing about and take God very seriously about what He makes very clear in His word to us. I pray it weights heavy on our hearts, and by His strength we will repent and turn from it. Or refrain from what it is unclear to us and we are praying for understanding. I pray we come into agreement with His word and by the grace from God above, He will build and strengthen the church and love.

More than a friend...Jeremy Riddle

Absolutely beautiful song !!!! I could sing these words at the top of my lungs everyday!!!!

Has there ever been something that you tasted, and you were so overwhelmed with it that you couldn’t find the words to describe it? Then you couldn’t wait to have it again, but this time as a meal. You love it so much you could eat it every day. (Selah)
Jesus....The only One who can totally satisfy, fully nourish, and heal our brokenness. He is so much "More than a friend" You would be overwhelmed, lost for words to describe Him.
Some won't even try Him. If Jesus is not in your daily diet, you may live a long time, but you won't ever be healed.
Allot of people believe you can live on peanut butter and jelly. News flash.... You really can't. Your body needs all the essential vitamins and minerals to survive. If you lack them, than various problems and diseases can arise.
When people say they don't believe in God, or they are not ready to even try to seek Him, I believe it is really an excuse to keep living to please themselves. They really don't realize all the nourishment their body and soul is lacking. It reminds me of when my kids were small and whenever I would try and give them something new to taste, they would say, "no, I don't like that!" Then I would say "but you haven't even tried it to see if you'll like it." Psalm 34: 8 "Taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him... for those who fear Him lack nothing....those who seek the Lord lack no good thing." Verse 11 "Come, my children, listen to me".... Just like when our little ones didn't listen to us about trying new food, either do some people about our Savior.
There was nothing that angered me more as a parent, then when my children were small and they wouldn't always listen to me. Mostly because they always hurt themselves one way or another. As they got older I knew, just like when they were small, these things that hurt them will teach them, and with much prayer, guide them to know right from wrong.
I believe God is angered with the ignorance of mankind. Maybe a better word is pride. It speaks its own opinion without searching for truth. Suffering then occurs because of "lack of knowledge" (Job 36: 12--Proverbs 5: 23--Proverbs 10: 21--Hosea 4:6) Knowledge opens the door, then through the door we see the Savior. When you meet Him, you can't help but fall in love with Him. There will never be anyone too lost for Him to save. If you would just open your heart, you will see Him so much better than your eyes. Pride blocks our view and we will see nothing. Knowledge removes the blockage.
When we begin our relationship with Jesus, our knowledge of His word is partial and incomplete. As we get to know Him more and more we experience just how good He is. "Taste and see"
If we don't take the first step of obedience we will never discover the indescribable love!

My prayer is we all get a hunger for all Jesus wants us to know about Him. Don't be afraid to change your diet from what the world has to offer, to Jesus. Jesus, you are so much more than my friend. More than my heart could ever express. You bring so much joy to my soul. Thank you for forgiving me in my daily failures. Picking me back up, and sending me off to try again.

When Love sees You...Mac Powell

Tuesday, September 18, 2012

When Love Sees You - Mac Powell

Love sees us all the same.  Jesus sees why He had to come, I hope you do too...

Nady, who is a dear friend of mine, now and for all eternity, shared a story with me that inspired me to write this to all who think, that just because you don't have a title, or a major career, or drive a fancy car and have alot of money, that you don't matter as much as them, you are so wrong. We are all bankrupt, and nothing without Jesus. It just amazes me, what it takes for us to notice what it is we all really need, and it usually takes some kind of tragedy for some of us to look up. The ones with titles, nice cars, and more money than probably some of us will ever see, were all running for somewhere safe, just like everyone else. No car to get into, no money to take with them, not even knowing what the end was going to be for them.

Look up now, before it's too late, because it's not the money, it's not the title, it's not your career, it's not how good a person you are. At the end, everyone will see it's always been about Jesus.  We all have a story, here's Nady's...

Hey there Kimmy,
Hope all is well and you and the family are doing OK... I was talking to Denise yesterday about my 9/11 experience, how I had to evacuate from the building that I worked in and got practically all covered in debris when the second tower fell.  At that moment, we had no idea what had happened, we knew we left the job site because of the smoke that rushed past our window but we were not aware that the first tower had even fallen...we just knew that staying put was not an option and made our way down the 7 flights of stairs (packed with everyone else) and try to make it out...When we opened the back doors it looked like snow in September, the streets were white powdered covered and people were just running in all directions...I froze, I had no idea where to go or what to do...My coworker Jimmy Cimento with his bible under one arm, grabbed my arm and said come on, I will walk with you, you don't look too  oriented...he was my guardian angel...He helped me, when the second tower fell we were almost by the Fulton Fish market, we saw people run and scream but he held on to me tight and we stopped for a second to figure out what was going on...At that point the smoke cloud had reached us and debris was everywhere..One woman just screamed others fell down crying, I was in total shock, WHAT THE HECK IS HAPPENING...At that moment the workers at the Fulton Fish market brought out hoses for people to hose their faces and put out cups of water for people to take a drink...As we rinsed our faces off, a woman walked up to Jimmy and touched his bible and said "please I beg you pray for my husband, he works at the world trade center and I don't know if hes OK"...Jimmy stopped and said "of course lets all take a second to pray"...I was amazed, we prayed, I felt calm amongst the chaos but I knew that with Jimmy I would be OK, he kept my faith strong...as we kept on walking, another man in a suit and brief case walked up to us and asked him "Are you a man of God?" Jimmy said "YES" and the man asked him to pray for the lives of everyone, for we need Godly people right now...Once again we stopped and prayed...As we kept walking we saw the president of our company walking amongst everyone else and at that moment Jimmy turned to me and said "You see that Nady, NO ONE HAS A TITLE WHEN TRAGEDY STRIKES, when the day comes to meet our maker we will all be the same, titles, money all gone, just US, the way we came in is the way we will go out, BY HIS WILL"...Years later I think of those words every single time someone tries to pull authority or tank on me...We are all children of God and at the end of the day he sees us as his children not our work/ career titles.

With all this said: EVERY WHERE I GO, GOD PUTS A GUARDIAN ANGEL IN MY PATH...I HAD JIMMY WHEN I WORKED ON WALL STREET, I MOVED TO FLORIDA AND FOUND YOU, I MOVE BACK TO NEW YORK AND FIND DENISE...THANK YOU LORD FOR BLESSING ME WITH GUARDIAN ANGELS THAT STEER ME IN TEH RIGHT DIRECTION, KEEP ME STRONG IN MY FAITH AND DO NOT LOOK AT MY TITLE BUT AT THE FACT THAT I AM LIKE THEM, A CHILD OF THE GOD!

I LOVE YOU KIMBERLY ANN :_) (tears of joy)

Consume me.... Dc Talk

Love the lyrics and visual message of this video!

Colossians 3:2 "Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things"

What consumes you? Some people are consumed by their thoughts, work, exercise, games they play on their phones or computers, and other things they choose to let consume their time.
For me it's hopeless, Jesus has taken me over. Just look at the lyrics of this song: "Lovely traces, I can sense You in everything. The way that You move me takes me far away, I seek no escape. I'm dreaming through Your eyes, I'm wondering through Your mind. I'm overtaken by the way You deliver me, I'm transcended. There's no place I’d rather be than here in heaven. Without You I'm incomplete, it's hopeless, You consume me".... I am so taken by the things Jesus does, and wants to do through us who follow and believe.

Thank you to all for a GREAT, Blessed week with all of you !!! Preparing for "Night of Joy" and "Rock the Universe" At Yacht and Beach convention center, Walt Disney World. YES!!! This is where I work, blessed I say, BLESSED!

My managers, and some of my cast members wanted to tie me down. I get like a little kid in a candy store. I laughed within myself, and with quiet conversation between me and Jesus I said, "Lord if we could just tie them down in the room for 3 days of the music, You can do open heart surgery. Then just maybe, on the 3rd day they will be resurrected to REAL LIFE." Nothing can stop the burning flames that runs through my veins, because He "consumes me."

What a great work week I had. It wasn't like working, it was more like a 3 day heaven. Surrounded by Christian artist. Some of my favorites like, Mercy Me, Mikeschair, Aaron Shust, Mandissa, Tenth Avenue North, Sidewalk Prophets, and MANY more. Z88.3 and K Love radio station broadcasting live in our lobbies, and many attendees from all over. What fun, real loving people, who LOVE what they do. It was like a meal being prepared, and once it got started, you just didn't want it to end. From preparing the set up of tables and chairs, food, lighting, stage set up, and sound checks, to the 3 mornings and evening of the artist performing, there was no escape. They consumed the entire convention center. The only way to get out of this, or away from all these "church people," as some called them, was to take off. I had to just laugh when some of the people I work with said to me, "hey Kimmy, your church people are coming."

Well once they were here, and everything was ready to go, the sound checks began. It was all the different Christian artist, singing and playing bits and pieces of their music to check their equipment. I was told by some, to close the back hall doors because the sound checks was too loud and driving them crazy. All I could think of, and laugh within myself, was "Oh sweet Jesus, they haven't even got started yet." I said a prayer within my heart right there..."Dear God, these doors may be closed, as well as their hearts, but You can penetrate through these walls and darkness anyway. So many here Lord are in need of a heart check." You know it's really funny, but every year when the whole event is over, they always say how nice everyone was.

I'm sad that this week, my 3 day heaven, has come to an end. But really, the heaven part doesn't. It is always with us, because we have been baptized in His love. We have been gripped by a heavenly calling. So as we go through our days, setting our minds "on things above," God will continue to use those of us who are not satisfied with things in this world as they are.

So if you are known as a Christian, or labeled as "Church people" by some..... Be nice, be real, be truth, and be LOVE....... "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven".....
I pray our view of heaven is immeasurable, so we can be used immeasurably. Then we can sing to the world He "consumes me!"

Anytime, anyplace, Jesus consume me!!!

King of Glory ...Chris Tomlin

Love this song !!!!!!  It's one I want to sing standing in the middle of the busiest highway! But someone would probably run me over because I haven't been given the gift of a good voice. Love the picture of Jesus arm wrestling Satan.
Isaiah 33:22,"For the Lord is our judge, the lord is our law giver, the Lord is our King, it is he who will save us."
"Who is this King of Glory?" I'll tell you, He is Strong and Mighty, and still sits on His Throne. Patiently waiting for us to continue to release Barabbas from you hearts, or free Jesus to take over. Picture Him, this battered and bruised Jesus, standing in front of the crowd, but the crowd today is you and everyone you know. Will we continue to crucify Him, or raise Him up?

"Lift up your hands, let the redeemed declare His love. We bow down at Heaven’s gate, to kiss the feet of hope and grace." Sing it loud so everyone hears... "There is One God, He is Holy. There is One Lord over everything. There is One King, He is JESUS !!!!!!

What do we find natural to make a "golden calf of today?  Could it be success, greed, abortion, alcohol abuse, drugs, pornography, homosexuality, or same sex marriage, divorce just because we don't feel the same feelings anymore.... You can continue the list...
I was reading 2 stories in the Bible the other morning and it reminded me of today's culture. Even us, God's chosen ones, are settling for what is happening in our nation today. We are suppose to be "One nation UNDER GOD" not what the crowd is voting for. We have made our own golden calf, our own laws to suit our own liking. We are being blinded by the gods we create, and continue to trample on the heart of our merciful God! I have children, and grandchildren, and I can say that it scares me the way we are going. How long will God be patient with us? No one knows.
In the book of Exodus 32, the Israelites found it natural to make a golden calf to represent the God that had just delivered them from bondage. Look back at Exodus 20: 1, you will see that God made it very clear to them, and us today. "I AM the LORD YOUR GOD, who brought you out of Egypt (sin) out of the land of slavery (slave to sin). You shall have NO OTHER god's before Me. You shall not bow down to them....for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God"..... What part of "you shall not bow down  to them" don't we understand? Today we look at many things in our changing culture as "it's o.k." But God hasn't changed, and it's NOT o.k! His Son died for the sins of all mankind. I thank God He is a patient God, because if it was up to me, this world should have ended a long time ago. But He is "not willing that any should perish", 2 Peter 3: 9.
I heard a preacher on the radio the other morning say "we live in a goodbye God world." My pastor said we tell God, "what You say doesn't matter. We're fine on our own now."
I pray our eyes open,(and teach your children) that what is happening in our world today is not of God! Look at Matthew 27: 26 and Mark 15: 1-14. The releasing of Barabbas a murderer, or Jesus an innocent Man. This crowd, most loyal to the Jewish leaders, shouted to crucify Jesus and release Barabbas. Who are we being loyal to, the crowd or Jesus? He is still waiting at the door to our hearts, even us His chosen ones, to stand for what we believe, and speak it in love. Who is guilty of the death of Jesus? We all are. The disciples deserted Him in terror, Peter denied Him, Judas betrayed Him, the crowd who followed Him stood by and did NOTHING! The Romans beat Him, and then crucified Him. Even Pilate, who washed his hands of it, was guilty of turning Him over to the crowd. Washing our hand in tough situations, or questions of the lost people, doesn't cancel our guilt. the bible tells us to "be prepared to give an answer" not to stay silent, 1 Peter 3: 15. To make Jesus, and Who He is to us, our business to share with a lost world that is fading quickly.
What are we doing with Jesus today? He died to make us one with Him. Whose side are we on? We must join in with His mission and not compromise the truth, 1 Timothy 2: 4-6. Commit our lives to Him alone, Luke 9: 23-25. Don't wash your hands anymore, join Him in this walk on earth.

"Have mercy on us Lord. Not our way but Yours. You are the Lord of earth and heaven, the Creator of all things. Help us God to turn from our sins. Help us be a part of sharing the truth in a world that is quickly fading from the truth of things you created, to us, making things suit our liking. Help us sense the open door, and speak with love."

How deep the Father's Love...Joy Williams

Beautiful song, packed with the truth of God's living word......

How great the Fathers love for me, that He made a wretch like me His treasure.

"Behold the Man upon the cross, our sins upon His shoulders. It was our sins that held Him there, until it was accomplished. His dying breath has brought me life, I know that it is finished."

I can say I am finished with looking at face book. I don't have my own, I would look at it on my husbands. The only face book I have is the one at the bottom of this page that post the things I have written. I use to love just looking at the pictures of my family on it, but I can't seem to get past all the junk people choose to post on there. Yes, some people post positive messages, but candy coat the messages just to be liked by all the viewers. I don't want to get angry, so I am choosing not to go on it anymore. What was meant to just get in touch with old friends and look at family pictures, has now become a page to post whatever you want to say, and whatever kind of pictures you want to put on it. Not caring if it offends anyone. Well we need to care about that, and especially if it offends God. Popular with God, or popular with the crowd, we need to click on the like button to one of these. Not everyone will see what you choose, because the choice is made in your heart to be sold out to God or not.

It just amazes me that when someone post something about God, and the whole truth of scripture, not many respond. But post a positive message with a worldly twist, that sounds good to all ears, and the like button is pressed by many. I guess that's what Jesus meant when He said in Matthew 7:13 "You can enter God's kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and it's gate is wide for the MANY who choose that way." And sadly, we the church are starting to look and sound just like the world just so we don't offend anyone, or stay their friend.

Face book and what people post can hurt God DEEPLY. You’re better off not responding to the post that can hurt the heart of our Lord because He sees, and cares. He knows your heart that's true, but many who read these post and comments can be searching for what is true. Remember there are innocent eyes. It could be a new Christian who is reading what is put on face book. So for the sake of new believers, please be careful what you post and what you decide to click on the like button.

Luke 22: 54-62...Remember the look on Jesus' face when Peter denied ever knowing Him? Jesus knew his heart, but that doesn't mean that it still didn't hurt Jesus DEEPLY. Being rejected in front of a crowd where many of them were lost and in need of the truth. Peter knew in his heart what was true, but half truth is really no truth at all. He chose at that moment to fit in with the crowd, also in fear of his life, instead of thinking of what it would do when Jesus saw, and heard him. Matthew 16: 18.. Later Peter became the rock Jesus built His church on.

"So help us God help You. As You look at us, Your chosen ones, we know Your hope is for us to defend Your Son’s death with the whole truth. Forgive us Lord where we fall short, and help us to stand firm and be the rock You build Your church on. Not to candy coat sin, and not to take sin lightly. Help us to bring the lost to You, and by the power of Your Holy Spirit, bring them to repentance. May our hearts desire to be more popular with You than the crowd."

Let my words be Few... Matt Redman

“Let my words be few” …. … "Jesus I am so in love with you, thank you for loving me!!"   That’s the few words my Hallmark card would say to my Savior, because my thoughts and thanks are too many to put into one card. I only pray every day my life will show it, because our actions matter.

Don’t you just love cards? They express the feelings some of us hold inside and have a hard time putting them into words. There's are all kinds of cards for different occasions.

Well another blessed year has gone by since my last birthday. I heard a commercial on the radio the other morning about Hallmark cards. It said “No one says it like a Hallmark card” I thought about that, and the truth that’s in that statement. Some people in our lives don’t really express themselves well with words, so when I get a card from my loved ones, it really means so much to me because of how the card expresses how they feel. The words may be few, but the message is sincerely from their heart. When you have a very close relationship with someone, you know that what is written is truth, Selah....

Thank you my precious family, that you always manage to make birthdays special with or without cards, because your actions always spell "I love you!"

There is another statement that I'm sure we are all familiar with "actions speak louder than words." I have to agree with that also, especially when it comes to God’s word.  James 1: 22“Do not just merely listen to God’s word, you must DO WHAT IT SAYS. Otherwise you are only fooling yourselves” because you can’t fool God. The lifestyle we live matters to God if we call ourselves Christians. We can tell Him we love Him, but we also have to live in obedience to His word. That's how we show Him our love, which speaks so much louder than words. He loves us so much, and His word protects us from unnecessary harm we can do to ourselves.

God’s beautiful Hallmark card to us is His word, the Bible. We can count on His word and actions always holding true and never changing.

“No one say it like God’s word”
