Chasing You....Jenn Johnson..Bethel

Love this song, and great to work out to..... We take time in other relationships, to see if this is the one. Why not try the lasting One first?   God is exciting, fun. Discover for yourself, the trill, the rush, everything about Him leaves you wanting more!!!

Some people tell me that a relationship with God isn't chasing after Him. I disagree, and here's why. The thrill, the rush, the more I see of Him in all my struggles, the more He leaves me wanting more of Him. I just can't get enough! I love seeing and feeling His heart in all things. The struggles are real, and so is He! He is bigger than anything I will ever face, and death being the last thing. We all will face it. Question is are you ready? If you aren't ready to die, you can't really live. My pastor always says that, and it is so true.

This life is truly a wild crazy adventure. But with Jesus, it is so exciting! There are things that I will never have the answers to. But as long as I have Christ, I don't need to know everything. One thing I am sure of is His promises. I trust Him with the life He gave me. His promises have been true for me for all the years I have been in a relationship with Him. He hasn't let me down, and I know He never will. Do I get mad at Him sometimes? Yes! But don't you get mad and question your earthly parents as well? His shoulders are much bigger. You may leave Him. But He will never leave you.

Things won't always be alright in this life. They certainly weren't for Jesus, or any of His followers then, or now. So why should it be any different for me. Jesus can't make everything alright. The struggles of life are real. All we have  to do is bring Jesus into our struggles. That's what makes everything alright. Even if things don't go away, there is a peace, there is a strength, there is a joy, because Jesus is with you. Isaiah 40: 31, "But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength."...... Isaiah 41: 10, "Don't be afraid, for I am with you...I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand."

What great promises I don't ever want to live without! So I think I will continue "Chasing You" Jesus. You've won me heart and soul. I'm after Your heart in all things. I love being Your child.

What a Beautiful Name.....Hillsong

What a Beautiful song for the most Beautiful Name... Jesus!!!!
I don't know if you have ever experienced the Living God of the Bible, but I can tell you that He is SO MUCH MORE than just a story in those pages. He's Beautiful, He's Wonderful, HE'S POWERFUL!!! He's alive in me today, and you, if only you would invite Him in. This surrender of my life to Him has been the most wonderful exciting journey. The great thing about it is, even when I die here, it really just begins for ALL ETERNITY! Praise You Jesus, and thank you my love.

Acts 2: 24, "It was impossible for death to keep it's hold on Him."....John 1: 1, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."   (The Word was Jesus) Revelations 1: 8, "I Am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord, "Who is, and Who was, and Who is to come, the Almighty."
That's all the truth I need to know. Yet I will continue to always seek to know Him more.

I know without a shadow of a doubt that nothing, absolutely nothing, can stand against the Name of Jesus. It can't, because nothing has that much power. Not even death! I know that I am in the land of the dying. We are all going to die and that is a fact. Luke 24: 5, ..."Why are you looking for the living among the dead?" I love this whole chapter!! I feel for you if you don't believe these beautiful words of life. Jesus is Who He said He is. John 8: 58, "before Abraham was born, I Am!" Meaning He was, and still is, and is to come again. Believe it or not, but I hope you choose to believe by faith.

If you ask Him to show Himself to you, He will in many ways. It may not be in the way you expect Him to, but you will know it was Him. I pray you have a lifetime of experiences after that.

You will see for yourself....... "What a Beautiful Name it is" whenever you say it... JESUS

Miracles....Jesus Culture

Well football season is over till next season. What a great Super Bowl! It was one heck of a game. But it wasn't a miracle that the Patriots won. They are just a great team, and Brady is an unbelievable quarterback. I always seem to go for the underdog. But this time I was really hoping someone else would get a turn instead of Brady's 5th. Oh well, it is what it is.
I talked to a lot of Patriot fans at my job, and I asked them if they got worried in the first half. They said... "No way!" I said, "your kidding me?" They said, "If you watched and followed Brady as much as I do, you would have complete faith in him."
Wow!!! I walked away and said, "I am writing a blog on this one." A lot of people today think followers of Jesus are being defeated. It may look that way to unbelievers, but true followers know the end of the story.

Football is just a game. Life is for real, and I play it seriously! I've experienced the God of "Miracles" many times in my life, and I know I will continue to, because I follow Him VERY CLOSELY. I have COMPLETE faith in Him. Maybe you as an unbeliever have never experienced the God of miracles. One day you might find yourself calling out to Him. I pray it's not to late. Most of us don't really build on this love relationship until we are desperate, and that's O.K with God. He just desires us to come. Revelations 1:7, "Look, He is coming with the clouds," and "every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him"; and all people on earth "will mourn for Him.".... I love this whole chapter. So powerful! Look at verses 17 and 18.

I don't know what to tell you if you don't believe. Or if you don't have this love relationship, and just have religion. There is a big difference in a love relationship. You can't get enough. I can only pray that one day you will choose to follow Him closer, and seek Him deeper than anything else in your life. You will NEVER be the same. Like I said once before.... I don't claim to know it all. I didn't come to this love relationship till my late thirties, and I do know the difference it's made in my life.

What would I have done.....Bethel Church

I hope you find comfort and strength in these verses: John 15: 56.... Colossians 2: 7.... Revelations 22: 16..... Jeremiah 17: 7-8

Sweet Jesus, "What would I have done" if it wasn't for Your love? The love that tore the veil inside my heart. What would I have become if it wasn't for Your blood?"

I was reading a devotional the other day about a dome built in Arizona, where they were growing trees inside a huge windless bubble called, Biosphere 2. The grew faster than normal until suddenly they collapsed under their own weight. The researchers came up with this explanation: These trees needed wind stress to grow strong in their rooting. Wow!!!

Just like us. Can you imagine living in a protective bubble? How would we grow? How would our faith and trust become strong if there was nothing that came our way to have faith and trust.
We live in a real world, not a protective bubble. It is filled with the winds of life that are going to blow. Sometimes more than we can stand, understand, or have the answers to. What are you rooted in? Or better said: When no one else has the answers for you, and your situation hasn't changed, who do you go to then?

Even if I don't have all the answers to everything that is allowed to come my way, I stand firm in what I believe of this world, 1 Corinthians 16: 13. Jesus has gone before me, and I keep my trust in Him to bring me through. Even if it is the end of my story here. I pray I brought Him glory, and led more people to this hope I have. His love has won my heart and trust. No matter what happens, victory is mine in Jesus!

Help from Heaven.....Matt Redman and Natasha Bedingfield

There are seasons in life where we will all need "Help from heaven." We also need to believe Ephesians 2: 6, "And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus," Our help is always right there.

The seasons that we go through in life all have a purpose, and we carry the answers for this generation. Esther 4: 14, For such a time as this, we were put here to carry Jesus to the world.

Psalm 139: 23-24, Our hearts condition is so important before we go out and do anything for the glory of God. The only way to get that right, is to desire constant intimacy with Him. Then we begin to think and see spiritually clear. If we think we can do any battle apart from God, get ready to be defeated. The enemy wages war, but victory is in Jesus. I live my life based on this SOLID truth, Ephesians 6: 12, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." We have the ability to rise or crumble. When I think Who I am seated with, I know I will rise above my circumstances.

One thing my children will always remember in their lives, is I never gave up on my marriage or anything I felt God had me a part of with Him. I will fight to follow the triumph of the cross. There is a reason for every tear that we cry, and they will not be wasted. There is a future for all the broken pieces. Many voices spoke to me, telling me I had every reason to divorce. But I listened to that One still small voice inside me. Always looking to Jesus to lead me, and He did it victoriously.

We all have a choice just like Jesus had, when He pleaded with His Father to take the cup of suffering from Him. But His precious words to His Father was, "not my will, but Yours" Luke 22: 42. Jesus knew we would all face seasons in our life where we would utter those same words. He showed us how to follow Him to victory.

It's not enough just to believe and receive Jesus. We have to allow Him to transform our hearts, and our way of humanly thinking. When He does, there is NOTHING you won't be a part of with Him.
Psalm 138:7-8, So embrace the season God has you in, and NEVER forget that He is with you. He's walking you through it. Isaiah 55:11, His word will never return void. Jeremiah 29: 11, What He had planned for you to be a part of, you will succeed!

Love is War.... Hillsong

Revelations 12: 3-9, God already had a plan for us when He kicked Satan out of heaven to earth, along with all his angels "who lead the world astray".....

Genesis 1: 1, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." So He already existed with a plan for mankind's fall. He also made us in their image. As you can see, God wasn't alone. He gave us all we would need to be fruitful and multiply. To fill the earth and subdue it. He attended for us to rule, Genesis 1: 26-30.

God, the Creator of all things, loved us enough to make mankind's fall His own. We had all we needed, but just like today, we want more. Or we think we can do this thing called life on our own. Instead of wanting more of God, we want more from this world that is being led astray. The same crafty enemy in chapter 3 of Genesis, is still succeeding today in all his deceiving lies. But in God's justice and mercy, Jesus came down to earth to walk this broken road with us.

Because of what I believe of creation, and of the love God has for us, I will fight to follow Him. I will fight for the triumph of the cross. If you think love isn't a war, you are greatly mistaken. Ephesians 6:12, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."

There is a heavenly realm where good and evil are at war. But, "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus." Ephesians 2: 6.
1 Corinthians 6: 16, Because I am one with Jesus, my battles are already won! Yes, it's a fight that we have been in since the beginning of earths creation. It's just a choice of who you choose to follow. The world to me looks like it is loosing. It's getting uglier, and uglier. It will continue in that way until Jesus comes back again. Just goes to show you how loving and patient He is. Not willing to loose anyone, 2 Peter 3: 8-13. Read the end of the book. You will see who wins.

I absolutely in no way claim to know everything. But I continuously seek to know more of God. The more I turn my eyes to see His face, the more I fall in love with Him. I know His love has won my heart and He embraces me like no other. All my fears and sorrows are held within His heart.
I know that Jesus won it all. He came and died, but the grave was borrowed. He rose again so I could also stand with a life to follow. Praise You Jesus. I will fight to follow, because "Love is war."

Nothing is Wasted....Elevation Worship

Nothing, absolutely nothing is wasted, or without forgiveness..... Not any suffering, divorce, death, loneliness, weakness, abortion, abandonment, not anything. God uses everything for His glory. Don't blame God for things that you don't understand. Mark 4: 34, Get alone with Him and He will begin to explain everything to you in His Word.
Hebrews 12: 1-3... We are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses who have gone on before us. When we face hardship or discouragement, it's easy to lose sight of the big picture. But we are not alone. Many have already made it through this life, and have gone through far much more than I pray to ever experience. Hard times, even suffering is a training ground for followers of Christ. It matures us, and develops us to look more like Jesus. There is sweet victory in the end.

A very comforting verse for me is, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18, "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.  So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.".... Just like a runner focuses on the finish line and ignores the discomfort of pressing forward, we too are to focus on what we have eternally...at the finish of our life. 1 Peter 5: 8-10, "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast."

One of my favorite scripture in all the bible, is where Jesus prays for us in John 17:15-25. I like to put my name in where Jesus is praying to His Father. Try it.... "My payer is not that You take____ out of the world, but that You protect ____ from the evil one." I just love that!! Read the rest and do that.

You see, we are not going to never have any difficulties or suffering this side of heaven. Some of us may have heavier crosses than others. But we are to wear our cross while we wait for the crown and tell the world of the full treasure we found in Jesus!!
My prayer for all of us, is that we stay... 1 Corinthians 15:58, "Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain." Remember..."Nothing is wasted"
