Carry me to the cross - then I'll embrace him there.

Jesus will carry you all the way, everyday, but you have to embrace Him. How has your way been working for you? Are you left feeling all alone? Well you’re not. He’s waiting at the cross for you to embrace Him.

The things in our life that seem impossible, and every step is exhausting, they are not sent to discourage us. They come to motivate us to attempt things that would be impossible, except we have been given this great strength that God has placed within us through His Spirit, so nothing is impossible through Him.

Do you think Christ road wasn’t daunting at times, dark, lonely?  You better really think again, and get a good visual of our saviors suffering. Yes He is the Son of God, but He came to earth fully human.
There is several books in the bible that talk about Jesus AGONIZING in the garden: Mathew 26: 36-46  - Mark 14: 32-42

I remember this scene in the movie, “Passion of the Christ.” It really let you see how scared Jesus was.  “And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was as it were, great drops of blood falling down to the ground.” (Luke 22: 43-44).  Can you just imagine being that scared? Are you in a place right now that you are feeling alone, scared of the outcome? Jesus has been there, and He wants to carry you to the cross. Only then will your eyes open, and you will see Him for who He is. At the foot of the cross you will see your healer, savior, redeemer, everything you have been searching for.

Jesus was so overwhelmed, "even unto death," (Matthew 26:38).  I don’t think God’s word could have been any clearer to us of how some trials in our life can take us to this point. What do you do? Do what Jesus did: "[He] fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou [will]." (Matthew 26: 39).  Jesus showed us how difficult the road can get. It will be daunting, it will be exhausting, but Jesus was never alone, His father carried Him all the way, and Jesus wants to show us we’re not alone either. He will carry us.

Then came the scene of Jesus, after being beaten beyond recognition, He fell to His knees, and embraced His cross, to finish the work His Father gave Him to do. This scene spoke to my heart so loud, like Jesus was saying, “This which you have given me to do, to die for the sins of the world, is almost finished, I’m almost home.”

I don’t know how you see it, or how God is speaking to your heart. I can only pray you open it and let Him in. He is carrying you, ready to embrace you. Ready to change you inside. See Him when you get to the foot of His cross.

Grace and peace to you

P.S…. I love you dad, and we are always praying

Kim
