Stay ...... Big Daddy Weave

Sweet Jesus, give us what it takes to stay…….We need so much more than just to believe, we need to STAY!!!

Many of us have felt His presence and have been filled with wonder. Still there are many things that pull us away. It’s like a tug of war between the enemy and God. Our loving God will never give up on us, but be aware, Satan won't either. Satan works OVERTIME to trip you up!! What a deceiver He is. God is not a god of confusion, Satan is. God is a God of peace. Satan, is a god of trouble, and wanting to cause trouble within you and with others. I pray for us all to be VERY sensitive to the difference. Just keep your eyes upon Jesus. Look full in His wonderful face and you can't go wrong.

You may not feel His presence because of where you are in your thoughts and actions. It isn’t God Who went anywhere, it’s us! Psalm 1: 1-6 "Blessed is the man who walks NOT in the counsel of the ungodly." God loves us and desires our fellowship and worship. So as long as we hold anything back from God, we cannot know Him completely or fully experience His love. When we surrender to Him, we get ALL of Him!

When you accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, He not only forgave you, But also made you into a new creature. You are no longer standing at a distance from God, but able to draw near. If you have drifted in your devotion to God, pray that He would draw you near once more! He knows our weaknesses, and if we tell Him that we want Him to take control of our lives, He will come to us in a MIGHTY way. No matter how dark or hopeless it may feel.

Well, what is going to take to make us stay? Aren’t you tired of breaking His heart? He gives us a thousand brand new starts, and yet we keep walking away.

I just love the lyrics of this song! It is a prayer, all wrapped up with music to God’s ears. “I’ve felt Your hand of mercy through my darkest failures, and on the other side You’ve covered me with grace. And like a child lost and afraid, You come and find this runaway, and in Your loving arms You bring me home again. Jesus give me what it takes to stay.”
