Little did I know when I woke up with the word consecrate, and the lyrics of a beautiful song, "consecrate yourselves to me, and you will see amazing things," that God was really going to show me something so beautiful right after I prayed, and in His PERFECT TIMING that only He can do. No coincidence! Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one He's listening to at the moment, and this moment was extra special!
Right now I have dear friends who are battling cancer of some kind, and going through some rough treatment. As I left my house this morning at 4:30 am, it was cool out and the stars were BRILLIANT! I leaned against my car in awe and just stared for a moment. So many thoughts going through my mind in a blink. I began to lift up a prayer for my friends. Before I could finish saying, "Jesus hear my prayer," a shooting star shot all the way across the sky like one I've never seen before. I mean, I've seen shooting stars before, but not like this, and not in the most perfect timing. I'm not one who needs signs and wonders, but when God wants to show Himself off, it will take your breath away.
Do you give your time and attention to God Almighty? Psalm 8:3, The Creator of the stars and universe. Desiring to know Him more and more through His Son Jesus Christ. That's the definition to consecrate oneself, and yes, He will show you amazing things. What dad doesn't like to show himself off to his kids. My dad did, and so does my heavenly Father.
Psalm 5: 1-3 and 11-12, "Listen to my words Lord, consider my lament. Hear my cry for help, my King and my God, for to You I pray. In the morning Lord You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my request before You and wait expectantly...... let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may rejoice in You. Surely, Lord, You bless the righteous; You surround them with favor as a shield."
Much love
