Even if,

Hebrews 10: 38, “But my righteous one will live by faith.”

Faith is resting in what Christ has done for us in the past. It also means trusting Him for what He will do for us in the present. “Even if the healing doesn’t come.”

I have seen the healing hand of God with my husband’s cancer. We were constantly praying, and believing, no matter what things looked like, and it looked bad, but God already knew how it was going to end. I am so thankful to God for giving him more time here. To enjoy family, our grandchild, and another one on the way. Also the joy of all going to church together. God is so good (all the time).  But even if the healing didn’t come to my husband, I know in time, God would heal all my pain and questions, to use it to glorify Him somehow.

Let the eye of faith be constantly looking to Jesus. I can often fall into the trap of going by feelings and emotions. I will not find Jesus there, because he is waiting inside for me to hold onto Him, and His promises. Even if things don’t look or feel as they should, we should never, “throw away our confidence; it will be richly rewarded.” Hebrews 10: 35-38. It pleases God when we can say, “I don’t see or feel You Lord, but I know Your here.” Trusting in God’s word and His power, more than our feelings, or what we are seeing. Who God is, will never change.

There are so many challenges in this life that will test our faith. Health and sickness of a loved one, or even yourself, death, waiting on results of a biopsy, so many things that could tear us apart, causing us to lose our joy and peace. But if we endure in the right spirit, it will impact our growth, and faith, and trust in God. No one ever said the Christian life would be easy, or things wouldn’t go wrong. When you face hardships and challenges, it is easy to lose sight of the big picture God already sees.

This world is a school ground for Christian maturity. It develops our patience, and makes the final victory sweet.

So as we go through this life, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Hebrews 12: 2-3).  Let the joy set before us, overpower our feelings and emotions. “Press on towards the goal..." (Philippians 3: 14).

Your relationship with Jesus is the most precious experience in this life. He has great plans for you; "[trust] in the Lord..." (Psalm 40: 4-5).

Grace and peace to you
Kim
