Don’t ever lose your light, even in the hard times.
I
talked with someone today about ambassadors of Disney World, and what
was the easiest way to describe their roll. She said they represent
Disney, they are the face of Disney World. That is a very important
responsibility, and they take a lot of time choosing who the 2 will be.
When I read in my bible today, in 2 Corinthians 5: 20,
“We are therefore Christ’s Ambassadors, as though God were making His
appeal through us.” I thought, WOW, that’s what we are for Jesus. We
are representatives for Jesus, and given a message for the world. That
is a VERY important responsibility for our Savior. How are we reflecting
His face to the world?
“For this is what the Lord has commanded... that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 13: 47).
A
friend of mine at work shared a story with me about what his pastor,
Scott Smith, demonstrated, and taught at his church. While the lights
were dimed, he held a candle very close to his face, and as he was
looking out at the congregation. He said, “I can’t see any of you, even
in the front row. But if I extend this light out away from me, the
further I extend it, the more I see.” That is what we are to do with our
message for Jesus. Don’t keep it to yourself, extend it out there to a
hurting world. Let them know that, “God made
Him sin who had no sin, to be sin for us, so that in Him we might
become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5: 21).
Our sin was poured into Christ at His
crucifixion. Only because of Jesus and His suffering, His righteousness
is poured into us, at your acceptance of what He did for you.
Have
you put your faith and trust in Jesus, and that He died for our sins? I
pray you will receive the message of Easter Deep in your heart.
“This little light of mine,” is all my Jesus wants me to shine.
Happy Easter, HE LIVES!
Kim
