Psalm 139 :13-16, For you created my inmost being, you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
My
grandson is 2 and a half. He sings some of the words to the song below.
He sounds a little like Elmer Fud from the bugs bunny cartoon. Well, only some of you around my age would know that cartoon.
She sent me a video of him singing his favorite verse to this
song: your beautiful, your beautiful, you are sacred, you are cherished,
you are His… Amazing to me that those words are His favorite. Powerful
words that are so precious coming from a 2 year old. That’s what I call
speaking into existence what will be.
I couldn’t see him in the video, I could only hear him. It inspired me to write what I once read in a devotional;
To
form a musical note, which becomes a song, starts with black dots. You
don’t see the lines or the rests, or the treble clef at the beginning. When it is all put together you have a melody. Then someone puts words
with it to make a beautiful song.
Well
right now my grandson is really singing just words, but because I
believe in God’s word, and prayer, those words will be real one day in
his life when he asks Jesus to come into his heart and be Lord of his
life. I know my grandson will have black dots in his life that he may
not understand, but I know that foundation is being laid that he WILL
STAND ON. God will take those black dots that come into his life, and
ours, and He will compose a glorious melody.
By
the way, guess the first thing I taught my grandson to say when I knew
he was starting to talk? You guessed it…JESUS! (Yes, nanny too), When I
ask him now where Jesus is, he pats his hand to his heart and says
“here.”
My daughter brings my
grandson to church every Sunday. I thank God how she is making a point
to lead him in the way that he should go. Deuteronomy 6:7 and 11:19, She
is doing just as God says she should. So I know she will receive the
promises from Gods word - Teach them in the way that they should go, and
they will not depart from it.
Grace and peace to you.
Kim
