Lifeline... John 15:4-5

Jesus is, and wants to be our lifeline. John 15:4-5… “Remain in me, and I will remain in you.”
Why do we keep playing games with God. Some of us think going to church, makes us a Christian. I don’t believe that’s so.

Jesus tells us in His word…John 14:23 “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching.” Also in John 14 :15 Jesus says, “If you love me, you will obey what I command.”

He truly is our lifeline, and “Apart from Him, we can do nothing.”

If I want peace with God my father, I must get on the same lifeline with Him and not clog it up. Often that requires repentance, and returning to Him, and His ways, clearing any blockages.

Like our bodies, being healthy, and working properly for us. What we choose to put in it to nourish us, is what keeps everything working properly. Our lines are open, pumping blood, and oxygen to every part of our body. We are happy, how we look, and feel. Or we can eat what we want, when we want, and how much we want, and we will have problems in time. We feel tired all the time, and we don’t feel good about ourselves.

Life is full of choices. It’s also your choice with Jesus. You can give Him your whole heart, or half your heart. What we put in our relationship with Him, can keep our lifeline clear, or clog it. You won’t like how you feel when it’s clogged.

So do it for yourself Spiritually, and physically. Give it your all… Deuteronomy 6 :5
Zechariah 1:3 “Return to me, and I will return to you.” James 4:8 “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.”

We could drown in a sea of our own choices, and continue to give God half our heart, or we can “Love the Lord our God” with our whole heart…Deuteronomy 11:1

Don’t you want Him to be your lifeline… Your rescue, strength in your weakness, light in your darkness, your safety, lifter of your head, the air that you need, when you can’t seem to breath…. Unclog it !
You can’t give half of anything, to anything, or anyone, and expect all.

You can’t give half to Him, and expect “ALL” He want to be in you.

Grace and peace to you
Kim
