Have
you ever felt like you had to live up to someone’s expectations to be
loved? As long as the conditions are right, the conversations are right,
you go to the places they want to go to, and do the things they want to
do, and you look just right in the mirror, then they show you love and
attention and appreciation? Well, that’s not love. Love is
unconditional, and True love only comes from God. 1 John 4:7, Love comes
from God.
Whoever does not love, does not know God, Because God is Love.
We
cannot just know how to love unconditionally, or expect it in return of
our own hearts. It’s impossible. It’s something only God can do, 1 John 4 :18. There is no fear in love. The one who fears has not been made
perfect in love... God wants to express His love through us.
We
think that with enough hard work we can measure up. As long as we keep
saying, “I’ll give it all I got, then they’ll appreciate me.” You will
fail every time, and every relationship. If you, or your partner is not
right with God, you can’t truly love or be loved, because God is that
only source. You can’t give what you don’t have, or receive what they don’t have. God’s word tells us that.
If
you have this love, and have accepted Jesus into your heart as your
Lord and savior, and forgiver of your sins, you will be able to begin to understand how to love this way, and how God wants you to be loved. “Apart from me,” Jesus said, “you can do nothing.” So stop expecting it from
someone if they don’t have this source of power that is only in a relationship with Jesus.
Maybe
you are a believer, but you walked away from fellowship with God. You’re not in the word, or prayer, or even in church. The truth is, you
can’t live without Him, or Love without Him, Ephesians 3:20. Only He is
able, according to the power that works within us.
I love Jesus with everything that is within me, and I wouldn’t want there to be a day without Him.
This song brings me so much joy, to be loved so much, and feel beautiful, (and I can be me).
Stay in His peace, don’t expect, always pray. Philippians 4:6 - 1Peter 5:7
