Calling for a flood... John 16: 8-15

Jesus teaches about the Holy Spirit, John 16:13.  “But when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guild you into all truth.”  Acts 1: 4, The Holy Spirit is a gift promised to all who receive, believe, and become, children of God, John 1: 12-13.

God wants us to be warned when we are going in the wrong direction. The Holy Spirit warns us whenever we step out of the light, and into the darkness. When that alarm goes off in the deepest part of your soul, pay attention!

Also whatever God wants to do through us, He will first put in us.  Acts: 1:8, “But you will receive power…and will be my witnesses…”

In the world we live in we need this passion, and power, to be a witness for Jesus, Luke 24:49.  This verse tells us to wait, don’t run ahead of God. We need God’s timing, and power, to be effective when witnessing, and telling people what God has done for us, and in us. This should be a burning passion in all who follow Jesus.

If you are in the word, God teaches us how to live as children in the light.  Ephesians 5: 8-11, “for the fruit of the light consist in all goodness, righteousness, and truth."  Ephesians 5:1, “be imitators of God….. live a life of love.”  Impossible to do this without the help of the Holy Spirit flooding us.

I love Jesus with everything I am, and I know His Spirit lives in me, and it’s still hard. I know God understands that we can’t ever be good enough. That’s why God sent His Son, to be good enough for us. He gave us the precious gift of His Son for our sins, covered by Grace: The Holy Spirit, and it’s power, because He knew what this world, and our lives would be like.

“We are saved by Grace, through faith…a gift of God.”  Ephesians 2: 1-9

God wants to take up residence in us by the Holy Spirit;
