Luke 10:2 “The harvest is great, but the laborers are few.”
I
was reading one of my devotionals the other morning, and he wrote about
this baseball player, Albert Pujols from St Louis Cardinals. This
player has a book out called, “More than the game.” He said that
baseball is his God given platform to elevate Jesus. He plays first
base, and reveled in his book, that on occasion, he ask players the
eternity question while they were standing on first base, “If you died
today, where do you think you’d go?” (and we think we don’t have the
time or opportunity!) Each of us who say we know, and follow Jesus, has
someone within our reach. We are all divinely positioned - Exodus 9:16.
I
found that incredible! I always thought baseball was boring to watch
because it is so slow. But if I saw that action going on at first base, I
would always make sure my seat was in full view of that base, and
conversation. To me that’s more exciting than the game. I personally
like to watch football, but I love the game of being positioned to help
people understand the way to heaven, and what Jesus has done for me.
2 Corinthians 5:20
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ…” As a follower of Jesus,
this passion should be in all of us. Computers are the thing today for
communication. Also phones today, people can go on facebook, and get
and send emails. I used to hate computers. Now maybe just to inspire
someone’s day, I love what God has given me to do. I love Christian
music, and how it speaks right to your heart. I love Gods word for the
same reason, but more than a song, it’s God’s word. It changes you if you let it.
So when God spoke to my heart and said, “Whom shall I send…” I said, “Here I am, send me.”
What will your response be? Selah
Grace and peace to you
Kim
